So this is my first attempt at an AAR and I thought I would try out writing it out as a Saga, to begin with, and then as the story goes on in time change to more journal and history book style writing.
Anyway,

PART 1:
Holmger in Mikligarðr

*Excerpt from Saga of Holmger*

Holmger of House Hammer, was of twenty-nine years of age and Chief of Burgundaholmr.
A Warrior whom none could catch, who had bedded women from Irland to Cathay.
In Winter had married Jorunn of The Isle (Of Mann)

In Spring, he sailed to Kípr and raided the lands for wealth, women, and glory.
In the Realm of Mikligarðr he went forth proving the Glory of The North and taking much wealth back to Burgundaholmr.

The Summer after, he returned to his Island to find another Chief warring in his lands.
He raised his Hammer and in the name of The King Sigurdr smashed this rebellious Chief.

PART 2:
Livonian Hammer Brothers

6 years later, King Sigurdr sought to conquer lands to the east.
The Great Holmger ever seeking for glory gladly took arms for his King.
To the East he sailed to the Land of the Livonian Chiefs they would conquer
Upon Holmger's arrival the weak Chiefs of Livonia trembled in their boots and were frozen in fear.

But trearchery was afoot, the Livonians without honor or strength caught Holmger offguard forcing him to retreat or lose his forces to the cowardly Livonians.

The Battle raged on for another year, then in the summer Holmger avenged his defeat at the hands of the cowardly Livonians on the same battlefield were they ambushed his forces.
Here he managed to hold of their forces and push them back, He had no need for the Kings forces but they made his victory so assured not even the Gods could stop it.

Within a year the Livonians were humbled, their forces scattered, and Sigurdr ruled the lands of Livonia in the name of The All-father.
Holmger returned to his lands rallied a host and then continued to do as he had always done; raid the seas and towns of Mikligarðr.

PART 3:
The Chains are Broken

Summer of the next year, Holmger seeking a reward for his Loyal service petitioned his Lord for a reward befitting a Chief of his glory. His Lord agreed and promised him his reward in due time, so Holmger waited and waited.

Yet no fruit bore of this promise, Homlger was silent with rage and now decided that his Sigurdr would be the last man he would trust.
Within a few years his Lord died and his sons then came to bicker and rule over their seperate Kingdoms.
Holmger know sought to break the chains of his lords rule who never rewarded their loyal subjects.
That Summer The Warriors of Borgundaholmr rose up eager to smash the Chains of the New King.
In a move that impressed even The Gods, Holmger marched upon Skåne meeting the Armies of the New King Knud.
Sending the Boys armies fleeing the men of Borgundaholmr running far to The North.

Yet Borgundaholmr was not safe, sacking the boy-king's capital they struck at his allies in the north and then marched south to the Chief's domains. Holmger having taken the capital, marched east with the speed of a Wurm. He managed to catch his enemies with their backs to him as they sought to destroy his homeland.

Fleeing to the North, they sought to take refuge in the lands they had captured from Holmger's allies.
Yet they fell to his armies long before reaching their stronghold, still fleeing his wrath they finally made it to their stronghold in the north only to be swiftly crushed ending the war. Holmger had truly been blessed by the gods for such victory in Battle.

With his chains broken Holmger returned home and prepared to sail West to carve out a realm of his own.
