"The Soviet Army is pretty average at the start, but due to their doctrine tree, they start with a higher reinforce chance than others." What does this mean in game terms?

Podcat are you there?

Could you give a small explanation as to what is the different between getting a casus belli from a focus as opposed to fabricating a claim?

lol...If you look at the screenshot he posted (with the comment about dumbed down and tooltips) you will see the tooltip explaining what reinforce chance is.

Looks great with some aspects that look very in depth. I like the division stats and the pictures of the equipment which adds much welcomed flavour. Can a ask if the 300 T26 light tanks equates to 5 light tank battalions?

Are the goverment slots limited to 3? iirc on earlier screenshots it seemed like you could always add another "staff/manufacturer" to Goverment / Research and Production / Military Staff. Now the slots seem to be set at a fixed amount. Or is it just a new way to arrange them to make it more intuitive where to click to add what? (it looks much better than before)

Regarding reinforce rate - "Chance of units not in combat are able to join the frontline troops."

1. shouldnt the total % chance also be in the tooltip, instead of just the breakdown.
Like
Total: 35%
Base value: 10%
Mass Assault: 25%

2. I feel like the text could be more precise. Its understandable for everyone what knows how it works but is it a daily chance or?, also its not a chance that makes them able to. its a chance that they will etc.

I must say i always wanted to try out the soviets in HoI3 but the task just seemed too big. Now it just looks interesting as hell, those goals are really interesting and i am looking so much forward to playing with them.

It is like technology, you can choose between any focus which you have available so you can do one focus in one tree and then do another in another tree.

So you still don't think an off map OOB would be nice to sort all of these divisions ? :p

But the 200 motorized vehicles and 300 T-26s are actually 200 trucks and 300 tanks, or do they also represent "packages" of vehicles?

Prolly yes, only equiptment which would be used in really great numbers will have its ammount scaled down... You dont have to scale down number of tanks if not many countries had more than 10.000 of those at any given time... Small arms on the other hand would have to be counted in tens of millions...

Does the great officer purge remove the risk of the trotskyite plot....and if ignored can this plot lead to a civil war?

Yes, eventually. The Purge is a full series of events and focuses dealing with the issue in different ways.

no vehicles are vehicles

there will be a future diary on the difference between claims/CBs etc but generally the difference is that stuff from focuses allow you to declare war right away (and as such are generally faster) and they also dont expire, while fabricated will time out if you dont use them within a time window (with a political penalty if you dont use it).

In HOI there is a limited combat width in combats, extra units (when there is room) has a chance every hour of joining the frontline. Soviet doctrine lets them join quicker than other doctrines so you can keep piling on men.

Does every "packet" of equipment represent of 10 pieces? If not what are the factors used for artillery/any other prepacked type of equipment?
