((Speaking of that, when will we have an election for the Italian President?))

((Since such bills are permitted only once per election cycle, after this cycle we'll have inertia on our side. I just don't see the sense, right now, in running an election for a spot that might not exist for even a single update.))

Now, before I reveal the new coalition, I have an announcement:

I'm retiring. I am an old man now, and not too many years left. I'd like to live those out in respite, and write my memoirs. Replacing me is my grandson, Johannes Carile, who ran instead of me for my seat in the Reichstag, and won. He is a bright, young man, and of great health, of which can not be said of his father, my son, unfortunately.

Now, I shall not delay the proceedings any longer, the new coalition is:

Chancellor: Franz von Bavel-Timmermans ((TJDS)) (DSU)
Foreign Minister: Axel Wouters ((NachoEater)) (DSU)
Interior Minister: Johannes Carile ((alxeu)) (NLPD)
War Minister: HF Gutfreund ((Jack LEagle)) (NLPD)
Finance Minister: Friedrich Thiessen ((Idhrendur)) (UAI)
Education Minister: Walther Herwig ((Warlord Skorr)) (UAI)
Commander of Gendarmerie: Karl Adimari ((PTSnoop)) (CON)
Chief of General Staff: Friedrich von Hohenstaufen ((LatinKaiser)) (CON)

((New Character appearing in a bit.))

The DSU seconds this government.

((Name: Johannes Carile
Party: NLPD
Birthplace: München
Member of: Conclave
Biography: Johannes Carile, eldest grandson of Fredrick Carile, is also the oldest relative of Fredrick's, with both of his children dying at 33 (1864) and 21 (1859). Johannes graduated from the University of Nuremberg with a political degree, becoming the 1st in his family to do so (Fredrick studied science), and becoming an excellent orator. He spent his next years rallying for his grandfather in political events, and getting married. He is currently married to his 3rd wife, his 1st being struck by a bout of Tuberculosis, and the 2nd dying in childbirth. He is heir to a powerful man in German politics, and despite his theoretical experience, he lacks real-world experience. He makes up for these faults in his determination to accomplish good, and his style of speaking often related to that of a Louisianan preacher.))

I thank my grandfather for the trust he has put in me, and wish him a happy retirement. I look forward to working in this government, and will work with greater vigor than I have ever before.

~Johannes Carile

I must say, I am a bit wary of a new member of the Reichstag attaining the rank of Minister of the Interior. Even moreso as he is a grandson of Herr Carlie, which for all the world suggests Nepotism. Perhaps in five years, once the Herr Johannes Carlie has proven to the Reichstag his skills, we should appoint him to the Interior Ministry, but for now I say that someone with more experience should be put into such an important position.

Maybe, but in no way should a follower of the mad Comrade Oppressor fill that position...

Herr Victor,

I have met Herr Carlie many times before I adviced His Excelency, the Reichspräsident, to appoint him, he was an aspiring academic and knowledgable in both economics and sociology, two subject that can help, one can even go so far as to say is needed, to carry out the duty of Minister of Internal Affairs. Thus I wish to put the minds of the Honourable Assemblymen and Stadtholders to rest that this is not a show of arrogant nepotism, but an appointment made out of a conviction that a cabinet should be technocratic, with support of the majority in both houses, rather than appointments made to repay political debts and to gain political favours, something which, despite all good intentions of my predecessors, has happened before. Another one of those technocratic appointments is that of Herr Wouters, an experienced diplomat, who was appointed first and formost for his unspoken credentials of service to the Foreign Office and the National Assembly on matters that involve the complicated situation that is European Diplomacy.

We Communists are not animals you may simply push around. We do not forgive betrayals, particularly by those who claim to be our allies. We labour to form a coalition of the willing, and we are betrayed by the Liberals and Socialists. The Communist Party shall never align itself with any enemies of the revolution ever again. It shall be a glorious day when the people of Germany end this pathetic organization's oppression.

I hereby redact all legislation I have proposed this cycle. The Bundespartei is the only organization that can help shatter the traitors of the revolution, and enemies of the working class. So I shall watch with eagerness to see how much Germany shall suffer from the chaos you enemies of the people unleash.

Forgive me if I remain unconvinced.
This entire coalition reeks of division and instability. Socialists, Conservatives, two Liberal parties, all of them are named in the coalition, an achievement unto itself. The only major party not mentioned is the Bundespartai, a party who has garnered the third most votes in the nation. The Socialists, who have garnered a mere 12% of the vote, are now leading the coalition! A new member of the Reichstag, one a relative of Herr Carile, has now been appointed to arguably the most important Ministry in the Government!

The point I am trying to make is clear. This government was not appointed for the interests of the Republic, or by the will of the people, it is a government with the exclusive goal of keeping the Bundespartai out of power. This vendetta began last year, when the former Kanzler, without any word to me or the rest of the Bundespartai, called for the removal of Herr Menigen. Instead of entering negotiations with the Bundespartai which could well have resulted in the Kanzler achieving his goals, he wasted no time in instructing the Reichpresident to dissolve the government and call for new elections. Then he creates a coalition, one wherein the leading party has achieved a mere 12% of the popular vote, and includes all three of the major political factions of the Republic, all with the intent purpose of creating a majority, any majority, that does not include the Bundespartai. This last transgression is the most obvious. He has appointed a new and inexperienced grandson of his, one who likely shares his views on Federalism, to the Ministry of the Interior. Why? To suppress all forms of Federalism, wherever they exist. No matter how skilled the man is, which I must say I still have some doubts towards, it is nothing more than vendetta and Nepotism of the highest order to appoint him to as high a position as currently is. Moreover, it is an insult to the Bundespartai, to the Reichstag, and to the people of the Republic to do so!

Reactions:
Comrade Victor, the socialists are nothing more than false vanguards of the business class, and their liberal comrades are just cronies looking to stuff the rag of injustice in the German workers face. They are cowards and thieves. Criminals, more so than anything else.

Herr Victor,

We do not neseccerialy oppose the Federalism proposed by your Party, indeed, if you may remember, I was explict in my support for your bills when you asked the DSU for support. But this Government does oppose unfair federalism, where the Greeks and Germans in Italy are forced to live in an autonomous region made for Italian. This problem let to the end of the last coaliton and it would undoubtetly lead to a premature end of this one. We can all hopefully understand that Germany needs stability and it will not be provided by men who aren't of the same mind. I can assure the Assembly and the Conclave that this government does not wish to ignore certain parts of the population, but you must understand, a majority, indeed nearly a super majority, of the population stands behind us, thus you cannot claim that this government is as illegitimate as you would make it seem.

Franz von Bavel-Timmermans

This government is illegitimate because it relies on the suppression of the working class and those it disagrees with. You are a coward, a criminal, and an enemy of the people, Comrade Timmermans. I cannot think of any person in this Reichstag more repugnant, putrescent, and as worthless as you are. I would rather buy Comrade Liberator and Comrade Altmark a läger and then debate them on politics, religion and government than spend five minutes listening to you ramble on and on about yourself and your mentally incapacitated cabinet.

We should fund a special education school in Rotterdam, for obviously they can't think of anybody better to elect to the Conclave than you.

Herr Liebknecht,

I do take a great personal offense when you call the Deutsch Sozial Union a false vanguard of the working people, when we have supplied this nation with unprecedented social reform, while you have been rambling on about the greatness of a revolution that has already come and when it came, it killed thousands of innocent people, without achieving anything. Herr Liebknect, I cannot see how you have any self respect left and I hope that the President of the Conclave will prorogue this meeting until the KPD has regained its manners.

Franz von Bavel-Timmermans

I do not mean to insult or discredit you, Herr Bavel-Timmermans. However I find it ridiculous that a Kanzler who announces his retirement decides the coalition. What authority does he draw from in this case? From where in the Constitution does it state that a Kanzler can pick his successor? If I remember correctly, if the Kanzler is unable to or unwilling to fulfill his duties, then it is the minister of the Interior who would become the new Kanzler until elections are held. If you are the acting Kanzler, then I plead that you create a new coalition, and not one that is based in sand.

~Herr Victor

Wonderful, my job is done if you are offended, because the truth is always offensive. And manners? We have no manners reserved for cowards, criminals, and enemies of the working class. Then again, the latter of the three at least can be respected in a certain manner. I have more respect for my comrades in the Imperialist party, and I have more respect for Comrade Liberator than I do you and your cadre of enemies of Germany.

Socialists are just cowards who refuse to accept the working class' emancipation from capitalist oppression. If the President of the Reichstag chooses to prorogue the session until I respect the DSU, Germany shall never have another Reichstag until the day I draw my last breath, because I shall never respect nor support the DSU, for it deserves neither from a man of the working class.
