Hello everyone. We're a bit too busy working on patch 1.13 to make a proper DD today, so I just thought I'd do a little preview of new national ideas we're adding in 1.13.

Patch 1.13 is planned for release as a beta patch next week, to be made a full patch later (we don't want to release it as a full patch right now because the team is about to disappear on vacation). It should be compatible with 1.12 saves, but as always, no guarantees. It contains 200+ bug fixes (mostly older pre 1.12 bugs) and a bunch of balance tweaks. As you might have surmised, it also contains a bunch of new idea groups, so without further ado:

It's only for Greek culture. As you say though the only country in the area without either their own set or Greek ideas is Corfu (they will get it if they should form Greece however).

This. Paradox, the fuck are you doing? It's impossible to play multiplayer right now, we've had to delay two sessions by now and as I see it we'll have to delay another one, it's been happening since Common Sense came out and it's still not fixed. A hotfix for this should have come much earlier, no need to wait for a full patch. Looks like advertising multiplayer in the game right now for up to 32 players (Heck even with 9 players it won't work) is false advertising, seriously.

A hotfix for this should have come much earlier, no need to wait for a full patch.

We think we have a fix for it, but it's extremely tricky for us to reliably reproduce this issue because it seems to depend on having large games with bad ping, etc. Our internal testing can't catch it and we're having some trouble getting logs from the people that usually help us out with large-scale MP issues. If it was a regular OOS issue it would have been fixed a long time ago.

Fair enough. Can I infer that means that the swap_free_idea_group line is going into the Decision to form GRE?

Any chance that the exclusion on BYZ forming GRE can be removed? Not that there is any compelling reason to do so. Just always struck me as odd that it's absolutely prohibited from doing so.

Beta patch is available to everyone via steam betas (no application needed) but you have to opt in to get it instead of getting it by default.

Still no ideas for Ansbach? I think the other Hohenzollern dynasty deserves some love, too. Without them there would not have been Prussia and SIlesia for Brandenburg....

(I know they don't have generics, but the entire point of forming them is that you are abandoning the traditional "horde" ways, so keeping the horde ideas seems...odd....)

Yes some that have group ideas still need specific ones :) We will get to them too.
