You have all (or at least many of you) been waiting for that map expansion very long, much longer than we have even planned and wanted you to wait. In the meantime, we tried to keep you as informed about the state of development as possible. Now, some of those Dev Diaries are long hidden under the constant flow of ideas of this subforum... so this thread is meant for those, who have missed some previous DDs.
In those DDs, There are also many good points which we need to take into consideration or change the mod according to those great advices of the great community we have here - you. So it will also be helpfull for SWMH team.

But this is not all. There will soon be another one, going back to the east:
Asian expansion DD4 - Persia in 867
this time, the waiting time won't be too long, I promise

Ok, so there has been some progress recently so I hope there might be yet another DD either next week or the one after...
The question is what do you prefer...
A 1066 political setup - 1) in Persia? or 2) in Turkestan? or cultural development over time - 3) of Turkish cultures? or of Persian/Iranian cultures*?

The choice will of course influence the time of release of the DD. The latter will perhaps take the longer than any other.

Any chance of giving Ireland a quick fix pass? In the game, it's mostly plains with a few hill provinces in the north. In real life, it was almost entirely hills, forest and marsh at this time.

I've also noticed that all around the map, plains are everywhere. Especially in Germany where there should be many more forests. More steppe less plains in Eurasia as well, and the Carpathian Basin.

Answered at better place

As most of you probably noticed, there was another update which includes the 1066 Turkestan - The Qarakhanids.

The next DD to come will be about Seljuk Persia.. and will be out soon

Would that be the final dev diary?
nah, you won't get off that easily;). But time inbetween them will soon get a lot smaller than previous since we are wrapping up a lot of features these days.

I believe there will be some, but now it's not my turn and I have already done almost all my DDs. We are now heading to one big cornerstone and after it's finnished there might be nice chance that guys will give you something to look at :)
We know it's taking terribly long. I can't even say how much would we like to have everything done so you could actually play with SWMH in those eastern lands.

Great to hear! I've sworn not to shave or play CK2 until eastern expansion is released. So you can see why I am eager on more than one level! (Okay, part of that statement isn't true)

I think those Dev Diaries are lies, you are covering up the fact that Paradox has hired you to make CK 3, that is why this is taking so long.

I am on to you...:ninja:

Can we expect anymore diaries soon? I need to satiate my hunger for this release; I've been looking forward to this for a good while. Keep up the good work guys.
I hope this can keep the belly from rumbling :)

damn! :angry:people can't keep a secret these days:laugh:

The Seljuk/Persia in 1066 dev diary is also numbered as 6 and thus isn't linked in the first post. Also, there was that thread about Middle Eastern title names which could probably be linked in this thread as well.

Any idea on the release date? When is it going to release? :D
When it's all ready. Not only does SWMH need to be in top form, but we've got to make sure the whole HIP package is in top form when combined with SWMH (NBRT+, EMF, CPR, and ARKOpack, namely, and in that order).
