I make the votes cast now as being as follows:

Con: 13 - 34.2%
Lib: 10 - 26.3%
CPGB: 5 - 13.1%
Nat Lib: 5 - 13.1%
Labour: 5 -13.1%

Tories just short of being able to win an overall majority. Liberals down significantly thanks to a rallying of Labour, Nat Libs up, CPGB holding steady - looks like the next parliament is a choice between either a Tory majority or a Liberal government propped up with Labour support.

VOTE LIBERAL!

Just two more votes will make an anti-Tory coalition possible. Every vote counts! Fight, fight and fight for a Liberal majority unless you wish to see the sea boil, the mountains tumble and the ruination of all that is good in this world!

Stand strong against the Dark Lord Macmillan and the Dark Prince Powell. Fight for the light and against the dark!

CHAAAAAAAARGE!!!

Ew no, I hate that guy. Very monotone. Such blandness.

Who would you rather go for then? Perhaps a sort of two-tone based outfit?

Also, a message to prospective voters: vote Liberal! (or Labour – but none of the other parties, please.)

Are the National-Liberals open to support the Conservatives? Like the rightists?

Why do the National Liberals even exist anymore now that Powell is on the scene? They're like the Belgium of British political parties.

And why do Labour party exist when we got the Communists and Orangists. Why do the Orangists exist when we have the Labour party? So many questions. But it is differences between the Nat-Libs and Rightists. And they may again play an imoportant role as they might make a tory government stand or fall. But if Nat-Libs merge with the (Rightists) Tories it would be kost interesting. Where will the voters go? To an authorian party or the liberals?

Many question, exciting times! And fortunately I will leave tommorow and not today after all :D So I can now plan my vote further. Damn, Yellow or One Nation? Or even Nat-Libs?

I agree, we should get rid of the Communists and the Orangists for good. :)

I choose to read this as impotent, and therefore agree wholeheartedly. :)

I've never understood the rationale why any party should exist only because one or two readers think its should. The point of an AAR such as this isn't to vote according to your real life principles, or to push forth your own real-life political agenda (he knows who he is), it's for Tommy to tell his story and for us to react to that story. I don't understand why people should throw tantrums if Tommy removes or doesn't create a party which 100% represents their real-life views.

As something approaching an actual One Nation Tory (minus the Tory), I think it's fair to say that our economics are different to your economics. You may as well vote Labour! ;)

((Then we should get rid of the communist party, the labour party and the national liberals :) As they all have 5 votes each. It make the AAR more fluid with various parties and factions. And IRL most of the populatiom actually only vote for party for sake lf voting on that party. It is actually a quite small percentage that vote differently for each election and is the detirming factor.))

And haven't you said yourself that economics isn't everything? :) As I see it I should represent Liberals for ideological reasons and furthering social justice. However the growing reactionarism is concerning in the conservative party. So then I should for that reason vote for the one nation or national liberals to moderate them on the social issues, and stengthen the monetarist case. And I really like the conservative (one nation) foreign policies. But again I dislike that they don't want to enter EEC. And the Nat-Lib social policies are authorian and not liberal at all.

Wait what. How are our social policies authoritarian? Furthermore, they are more liberal in granting more liberties to the individual than any other party! Liberalism is about promoting and securing the freedom of the individual against those who would seek to undermine it!

Only to us mere mortals. :)

I'm not sure that voting for the One Nation Tories will strengthen the (Rightist) monetarists. :)

Yes liberalism is about that. And since the National Liberals do the opposite of that and have no further stance for liberalizing the individuals other than cutting in regulations, I only see them as conservatives who want a free market. And they are also opposed to free trade blocs.

Who knows, maybe it will :)

Enewald, the Communists have done rather well this election, all things considering. The consumers that are the electorate have voted with their ballots and endorsed the continuing existence of the Communist product. Why do you wish to interfere with consumer's choice and the free market?

Who knows, maybe it will

Yes, in the same way that voting Liberal will strengthen the power of the Communists.

Blocs, bah! Blocks exist to prevent free trade, surely you know that.
The National Liberals do their best to protect the liberties of the individual against the statist menace. You don't protect people by locking them up in cages!
All regulations exist to twist the market away from the natural push towards equilibrium.

The same way that Nazi parties are banned in Germany. Factions and organizations, especially political parties that are hostile towards the concept of democracy and seek to violate our constitutional rights to live and own property shan't be tolerated.
The voters have been fooled, their votes have been bought with promises of material benefits. Surely that is corruption itself? ;)

How do you remove from power a party that keeps getting elected by promising to print more money to those who vote for the said party? :p

It is best to have as much free trade as possible. Okay maybe the EEC are proectionist outside of the common market. But wake up! Without the EEC these countries would be protectionistic to eachother. So instead of having every european country protectionistic, we end up with the European countries having free trade with eachother. The walls have just been moved out of the counties to the continent. Germany would have been protectionistic against Argentina with or without the EEC. But with the EEC they are not protectionistic against France.

How have they been fooled? They are making a rational choice. Oh I see, you wish to prevent people from making rational choices that you deem are harmful, like how socialists want to artificially distort the market because they think poverty and unemployment are harmful. You are just another socialist, Enewald. Stop interfering with people's freedums. :p

Surely if people are as rational as you claim them to be then they would see through such a gimmick, realising the long term economic problems it would cause and vote accordingly :p

The National Liberals will give you freedom to make your own choices!*

* Provided you make the 'right' choice.
