Info: This Mod is a United Modders mod that starts during the American Revolution (1776). Expand your empire by new colonization , or do it by adding nations to your sphere of influnce (to be added in the second add-on). Wanted to see what would of happened if America lost the war, or what would of happened if France won the Napoleonic wars? Play The 18th Century, A mod that is deticated to the "What if's" of history.

One of the file is curropted. Try using Gamefront so you can upload it in full.
 
You could reduce filesize by not including vanilla files. Use win merge to seperate changed files from unchanged files. The files I was able to unzip there wasn't much modded files. Then you should be able to upload your files in one file. I could help you.

When's this mod's end date? And does it use a custom map?

I would suggest having this mod end in the American Civil War or in 1870 Franco-Prussian War given your original end date of 1850, or at least do so in a future update.

Also I suggest you start with events for American Revolution, then make events for French revolution for the next update, than Napoleonic Wars, and so on and so fourth. Another nice setting would be scenario for the war which led to Indian colonisation.

And oh, try to add misc command could be added which could be used to change the progressing speed from hours to days.

FA = Autocracy
LE = Left-Wing Radical
LWR= Socialist
ML = ??
NS = Absolutist
PA = ?? (Authoritarian Democrat?)
SC = Conservative Democrat
SD = ??
SL = Liberal Democrat
ST = Radicalist

It doesn't have a custom map, and I will try to reupload it as soon as I can (and this time in full on game front)

It has no end date because I'm planning to add a lot , but we are still starting MU , so we have only 4 or 5 people on staff. I was planning to start the events with the American Revolution. I will have this Mod go to 1859, then MU will start on a civil war mod, then a "rise of Prussia " mod

Here's Moders United "GRAND MOD" structure (scenioros)

-The 18th Centry (1776-1870)
1776 (the grandcampaign)
1804 (The Rise of Napoleaon)
1812 (The war of 1812)
1830 (divided states)
1860 (American Civil War) - This will be the final add on

-The Rise of Prussia (1866-1899)
1866 (The Austro-Prussian war)
1870 ( The Franco-Prussian War)
-( this will include a option to unite Austria with The other german states


These mods will be able to work off of a save from another MU Mod

Would be interesting to know how you are controling the AI in such a massive timescale. I presume that if you just let the game run with default AI's enabled, it will either do nothing much or create massive amounts of excess IC. Same goes for the resources: oil and rares (rubber uranium, ... ) simply were not drilled for at that time, let alone refined, and industry and warfare was completely different (mercenary armies vs mass-conscription).

So, would be cool to know what you did to make it playable.

Resources would be the least of the problem, I think. The concept of IC would still stay the same, it's just that instead of rare metals what there would be opium, instead of electricity there wold be timber or whatever modder wants.
Think Fallout Doomsday, all that's really needed is to rename resources to something reasonable and make the new pictures.

Of course placing them on the map would be a massive work.

Thank you guys for the feed back, because I do want to make this playable as soon as possible , but having 3 people work on a mod is hard and time consuming -let alone a mod in a different era-. I took this Project on because I hate how victoria 2's gameplay is , so I thought it would just work better like this, and even without events, it is a blast to play.

Game Play Issues

Tech:seeing my team doesn't have a tech tree expert makes it difficult to Change the techs, so that problem is slowly being resolved but that will take the most time

Time:I play on the fastest setting on DH, and I find it fine, but unit move times are the same as in the regular game.

Unites: Tanks will be replaced by cannons , and I will put a lot of different types of Inf. in the game to give players a rich expirence . also I will put unique units for nations - USA:American Marines & Minute Men - UK:Red Coats - Japan:Samurai - Spain: Conquistadors - France: The Cavalier

Event ideas : USA: Victory(USA revolution)
Defeat (USA revolution)
France joins
Who should be the head general
Union of the South declares loyalty to the king

Jap: The Shogun or The Emperor ?
Factions rebal

So, where is the "Re-upload [that] will be available with in the week", which was several weeks ago?

I did put a download link, but that one never worked so I have to upload the whole thing on ganefront, and that takes forever- I will upload it tonight and post the download link tommrow morning .

Everybody remember the GRAND MOD , will be a series of mods , not one big one (for several reasons) but we will make it where you can just move your save over to the next mod.
 
Corman, because of our limited staff, lets just work on this mod for now. And any updates for world of empires of course. We should suspend the Turtledove mod for now, because of our manpower constraints :p
 
Will the "Grand mod" one day be built into some sort of "new RDD" where you can import your savefiles between scenarios after reaching 1 enddate?


If this Grand Mod thing works than it might be the closest to what mox originally intended.
