Atm in my game the SCW ended in March 38 and the Japanese won in China in Dec. 1940. One strange thing is Italy in Africa. They had superior numbers in north africa (3/4:1) but didn't move for a year after they entered the war. Then they came up with a masterplan. They just made a pilgrimage through the dessert in the south to conquer the more or less undefended France colonies. I will see if they succeed ;)

Interesting. I have never seen this, but I have also never seen SPA annex SPR.

Please rerun it a couple of times and try to see wether it is related to National Spain and wether you can narrow down the event that causes the CTD.

I solve the CTD in an unconventional way. i restartet the save game as national spain, played on or two days, annexed REP Spain and than switched back to Germany. The game crashed before, in the same Moment, when NAT Spain invaded the last republican province. Right now, Iam 2 Years further, and the (German) Game runs without any other Problems. But I watched some other minor things: 1) In the Tech Tree a lot of Pictures regarding the Tech f.e. "Dispersed Fighting", "VII-Subs" etc are missing. I remember in 0.4.9 that there were pictures for these technics. 2) Some Airplanes have in the german case wrong Icons/Symbols in the Map Modus: For example Stukas looks like a late war British Ligthning Fighter or Me 109-Fighter looks like Japanes Zero-Fighters. Or He 111 seems to be Heavy-Four-Propelled-Bomber. 3) The F-Class German Destroyers, which can be used as Escorts were showed as Sunk in the Sunken Sips Register in the statistics. 4) And the last thing. I never understand, why in die building queue are these three Brigade-Things: Fleet Destroyer, BB-Fire-Control etc. What's the reason?

I just had the same CTD problem and "solved" it by stepping slowly through the time window. Of course not acceptable for a release.

Regarding graphics: Have you installed the graphics pacs?

F-Class: ships that are deleted by event show up int the sunk ship register, hardcoded, no way around it

The three brigade things: help the AI avoid building nonsense, you can delete them for any human nation

Graphic?

Yes, I installed the BW- and Coloured-Package, and three SKIF-Packages relatetd to older CORE-Version.

When Hagar drops by, he can probably comment on this. He is the gfx guru.

Please verify you installed the CORE graphics pack correctly - your mod-CORE2\gfx\interface\models directory should contain around 4.000 images, for one.

The Spain crash seems to be related to the many remove_division commands in the 560015 "Victory" event for SPA. Probably the "victory" event for SPR causes the same problem. The possible solution by slowly stepping through the time range is another indication of this. Apparentely remove_division does no crash when a non-existing division is removed, but either removing many divisions or removing many non-existing divisions crashes the game at high speed.

I have commented out the SPR divisions that are removed by the event. I do not really think that SPR divisions are taken over by SPA upon annexation. In any case, after this I was able to run through the time range at high speed. If SPR divisions remain in the SPA OOB, we might append a second event that deletes the SPR divisons.

I´ve had NatSpa annex RepSpa in two games without any crash. In the first game, playing as GER, I loaded up as RepSpa and deleted several INF units in 1938. In the second game, playing as USA, NatSpa won in mid 1937 without any "help". Game speed is "very fast".

I saw a post in the tech support section, where Radu mentioned deleting a non-existing division (destroyed or such) in 1.06b1 triggered a CTD. Should be fixed for 1.06b2...

Unfortunately this may not help, since the SPA and SPR events use remove_division and Radu fixed a problem with delete_unit.

HSK (Hilfskreuzers) are still much too strong. One just sunk 14 carriers an 20 CL/DD without beeing damaged. How can I fix this in the files?

I changed the visibility from 0 to 10. I blew 2 HSKs out of the water in a later game as US, so that seems to work.
The file is db/units/divisions/nuclear_submarine.txt.
You need to edit model 1 only - the others are fine I think.

For 0.50.16 we have disabled the HSKs, since they do not seem to fit their role as nuclear submarines.

Any tip how to improve them via their stats is highly appreciated.

In my first game I had ITA steamroll ENG in Egypt. Of course Egypt turned and soon they overran the entire area. Syria did the same on the other side and took Suez. Turned out ENG had only 4 divisions in the area. The Home Islands also did not have a lot of troops. So I checked the ai file and the build priority for army units for ENG is 0.
Is this correct? I see a lot of ENG events pop up during war-time. Does this mean the ENG AI only builds units by events?
I changed the ENG build priority for my second game to 10 INF, 5 MOT, 5 ARM, 5 HQ (reducing 20 from destroyer build) and now it is ITA that is kicked around in Africa.
Did I overdo it?

Changing even a few percentage points can totally unbalance the AI.

In your case ENG will have built too few destroyers and may well loose the naval war. Remember that we have single DDs in CORE, so very large settings are required to get the AI to build the necessary numbers of DDs.
