Rules, Premise and Guides
(With a table of contents) -
Welcome to the Tale!

My new AAR
Japan in Heir to the Throne
Written in haiku

Using these settings:
Lucky States Historical
All others normal

New to EU3,
Not very good at haiku,
Apologies now.

If haikus you like,
Feel free to offer your own.
Some will get prizes :)

But don't be put off -
Poetry is not required!
Merely encouraged ;)

The rules of haiku,
As per Wikipedia
Are given below:

The correct haiku:
Five, seven, five syllables
Spread over three lines.

Plus, if possible,
A kireji splits it up,
Two poems from one

Seasonal kijo:
This word evokes poem's soul
Spring, fall or summer

Don't worry too much;
For the sake of the story,
I break them sometimes.

The Contents Table,
With the rulers' reigns and dates,
Follows here below:

To show my great awe
At others' poetic skill,
I awarded these:

For Soarom's piece
Of well-delivered advice:
The first lotus bloom (*)

Colonize Taiwan
Tread softly on tiger's tail
(that's: watch out for Ming)

And thence to Kanil,
For managing to scan !!!!!!
Proving his own point :)

Exclamations six
(That's !!!!!! if you're wondering)
This thread is silly

Certainly bizarre
Yet strangely fascinating
I shall follow this

Thirdly to King Dick,
Technical woes should not keep
From writing haikus.

Blast, pictures don't load!
Not your fault, blame Google Chrome.
Text is enough though.

(I like that Haiku. :D)

Amazing idea. But I would recommend changing the title

Perhaps you are right,
Choose something less descriptive?
First comment - hurrah!

This looks quite decent,
Perhaps I might just read this?
Brilliant idea. :D

Pardon me, dear sirs.
I do believe it was I
who started this trend.

No doubt this is true.
Please take my emulation
as a compliment.

( :D See what you started, AllmyJames? Better hurry back!)

This does look quite good
I'll be sure to follow it
And good luck with Ming :p

Not going to try Haiku,
Will read though, looks good so far,
Here's 5 syllables.

Excellent! Japan!
I look forward to reading
A great AAR!

Interesting start.
The Son of Heaven conquers.
Ryukyu drips blood.

So many haikus!
I am glad you all approve!
Poetry is fun!

Perhaps it should be,
A law that one must speak in,
Haiku when in thread?

Haiku is an art,
To which gentlemen aspire.
I encourage it.

Perhaps I will offer,
For the most elegant,
A weekly prize?

This does look quite good
I'll be sure to follow it
And good luck with Ming :p

The Ming are no threat,
Decadent barbarians!
(Secretly I'm scared).

I dig this so hard,
You're freaking hilarious,
subscribing right now.

For some strange reason,
Haiku makes things funnier.
Next chapter Monday.

Paradoxian with a nick that was Slavic
Enjoyed many a well-crafted word trick
Read an AAR writ in haiku
Thought it was neat, so he tried it too
But he ended up writing a limerick. :(

AllmyJames, You fool!
Look what you have gone and done?
A thousand haikus!

:p

The chain is broken
A limerick has entered
Perhaps, misspoken?
