Imo, maybe the greatest weakness in the Europa engine was the bugged/crashing/incompatible/out-of-sync multiplayer feature. Will we see any improved multiplayer functionality in For the Glory?

I forgot to mention we will be allowed to discuss further evolutions, especially for MP and good ideas that were expressed but not included in this version. We had to publish it at some point and make choices for features that could be included. Not sure how Paradox will handle this in the future but free patches could be a solution. We want to bring everything that is possible. It just requires time...
 
Someone should really try and solve the version problem.

Don't know about any version problems. Like in all games of course you need the same version for it to work :p

I was mostly referring to issues like lag-loans, and general instability/CTDs.

Yes cool-toxic, you had more then time enough to buy yourself a new router. They arent that expensive, and there are actually quite some good routers out there. Personally i would advise you to buy stuff from SMC.

But I sit behind a dynamic IP, so it has nothing to do with my router which I know perfectly how to forward. :(
 
A proper debugging log would be useful for modding spastics like me.

For example I've had problems in the past when modding the 1718 scenario as it would not load (or just crash, or hang) if there was a single text error.

Having some sort of log, and then it telling you which file (or even better, which line) is at fault would be an invaluable tool for we modding folk.

Not sure how difficult it would be rustle up, but I am sure Micky M can pull something out of the hat. :cool:
