Hello again, Console Fans!
We’re here to start talking about some of the content that’s included in the MegaCorp Expansion, included in Expansion Pass Three for Stellaris: Console Edition. Today we will be talking about several of the features included in the upcoming MegaCorp Expansion!
The Caravaneers
The Caravaneers are space-based traders who send out fleets across the galaxy to offer unique techs, usually in the form of a trade. They also have a home system, named Chor’s Compass, with a unique base that offers... Special interactions. More on this later.
The Fleets
The Caravaneers spawn three fleets that roam the galaxy, traveling from empire to empire offering lucrative deals. The three fleets are named the Racket Industrial Enterprise, the Numistic Order, and the Vengraliam Trium. Each fleet has its own set of specialized deals and will ask for a variety of different things in exchange for what they are offering.
Caravaneer Fleets may also trigger one of several events while entering and leaving your space, which can either be good.. Or.. not so good.
The Caravaneer Coalition Base
For those who seek to enjoy some quality recreation, a visit to the caravaneer base is surely worth a visit! The caravaneers have some great deals on offer – only Energy Credits are accepted in exchange for the exciting CaravanCoinz!
CaravanCoinz allows you to partake in some excellent games of chance, or to buy mysterious reliquaries that may contain untold wonders, or may be completely empty. Who knows, maybe you will be lucky enough to find the most glorious and precious thing known in the galaxy – The Galatron.
Either way, a visit to the caravansary coalition base is not something you’ll regret!
Slave Market
To better facilitate the authoritarian/xenophobe and egalitarian playstyles and depth of roleplay, the slave market feature is being added with the MegaCorp Expansion. This will allow a more easy transfer of pops between empires, either to live in freedom in an egalitarian utopia or to live a life of servitude. In MegaCorp, nothing can stand in the way of the pursuit of profit!
Access to the Slave Market is granted once the Galactic Market is founded and only empires that have access to the Galactic Market will be able to use the Market. Only pops that are currently enslaved are able to be sold on the Market, but anyone can buy them (either to set them free, or send them to the mines), robots are also able to be sold on the Market.
Buying Pops
To buy a pop, select the planet first, and then select the pop from the list. If you can afford it, the pop will automatically be relocated to that world, and meet the fate you've decided for them - emancipation or toil!
Selling Pops
You can sort pops by species, and choose which planet to sell them from. The base cost is 500 Energy, but this price will also be affected by traits. Traits that make a pop a better slave will drive the price up, while traits that make a pop a bad slave will drive the price down, and there are some traits that do not affect the price either way.
That’s it for today, folks! Join us next week when we talk about the new Megastructures being added in MegaCorp, as well as other things…
