Cheers,
Mariina

As a result of previous experience with new DLC/updates I've decided to give Cities Skylines a wide berth for at least a fortnight until this man made disaster settles down and International Rescue in the guise of modders clear up the doo doo

While having a new money making DLC is great and all, any chance co_martsu could comment on why it's taken more than 3 months to get any traction on why Steam Offline is not allowing mods to be used? (link to thread).

EDIT: people respectfully disagree with what exactly? all the factual information I provided in this post? freak'n fanboys. If you disagree with me, why not have the balls to write a post about it, reply to me, PM me, discuss the issue you have with it.... no? just be an anonymous troll... gg

FYI: co_martsu didn't "respectfully disagree" when they responded in that thread (albeit a disappointing response)

Update on this issue is that there is no update I'm afraid. Last time this happened (in 2015) Steam fixed it quite quickly so we were hopeful they would have gotten around to it already.

Nice work so far, but I'm somehow unhappy to not being able to create custom helicopters the way I'd love to as it seems there is no way to change the rotor mesh or its position. I hope some feature to edit such assets (also in the wind turbine) will be added in -f5 / -f6

I'd really love to recreate some real life helos at some point :)

I would love to have this coming to city near me to fight crime.

May i ask something?

Since upgrading Unity to 5.4 that improves multi threaded performance, does this means the support for DX12 will be available right now for C:S or that only means that in the future we might see Cities receiving a dx12 patch?

I am asking this cause since i got my RX480 i have seen major improvements on some games that i own that have dx12, like civilization, just got a +18fps just for switching from dx11 to dx12.

I am not an expert but i would to understand more about this new api.

i love the tsunami animation: the water flows out from the harbor first - and then it comes back in full effect! well done!

question:
if i set the desaster manually, how can i set the scale (i always get a 5.5 of the scale, if i set i manually)

The new Radio and Natural Disasters patch is a disaster for me - I cannot load a game anymore - either saved or new. The loading just grinds to a halt just as it's about to be completed. Can this be fixed? It ruins the whole experience.

Hi! I'm afraid there are no plans to bring cities to DX12 for the time being, but the upgrade allows to keep options open and benefit of multi threaded performances on the currently supported APIs.

Impressed by the speed of modders and asset creators in updating their content making it compatible with Disasters DLC. The new dlc is also very impressive. The radio stations are meh (especially the dodgy re recordings rather than the original hit versions on "Gold") The new building pack released was a welcome surprise too.
