In 1066 the Normans crossed the channel and conquered England, completely overrunning the southern lords and subjecting the north. After the untimely death of his son Robert, William's 8 year old grandson was next in line for succession. Yep, it's that Harold of Godwin. Guess the twenty four years since the invasion has softened his outlook somewhat. Not sure if this all the strange per se, but I really get a kick out of the idea of Harold Godwinson fighting for the grandson of William the Conqueror.

I know, I just wanted to share the ridiculous number of demesne holdings and give the not-so-fond-of-HRE crowd something to smile at :)

It took me hours and felt like work because I wanted everything turned into Prince-Archbishoprics. Then, of course, the emperor died and the succession spawned the rebellion from hell. Took me 10 years to sort out. In retrospect, I should perhaps not have destroyed the HRE title.

Hi guys,

I decided to join the forum to share something really hilarious I did today w/ CK2. But I dont know how to save screenshot + how to upload :( so can anyone helps???

I, still, will tell you the story instead: I blob my way to be Russian emperor (tsar) as volga bulgar (long story.. very long). My realm is ~1100 size, but that's NOT important. I then holy attack the pope nonstop to have him landless. (He managed to have lands in England, France ><) Then he called a crusade on me. So... usually, I win crusades. But I wanted to vassalize him, and I freakingly couldnt. Muslim rulers have invasion CB that can help to vassalize other rulers of different faith, but I could not invade popy because he controled nothing but the duchy of latium. Now he crusades me... so I think, well, let's see if I can invade you after you have my kingdom (one of them). I surrendered and he got the kingdom (hungary). I immediately declared war, invasion CB, back. Guess what? I successfully vassalize him -> holy crap!!!

The fun does not end though. I played for 50 more yrs, new tsar. Now I want to be the pope, not just have him as a vassal. Now, papacy is open elective and a kingdom in its own right. It's also coded to be first title -> impossible to usurp. So... inheritance? Muslim has turkish rule only - btw, I knived the vassalized italian catholic pope, the next pope is russian and muslim, lol - agnatic open, which is nearly (not nearly, lol, but for the sake of... the story) as open elective. I decided, maybe I can inherit papacy... somehow. I created kingdom of ruthenia, and I have 1 duchy in it. I gave ruthenia to popy, JUST the title. Turkish rule means if the king dies w/o heir, the biggest duke in the kingdom inherits the kingdom. I then knived the pope -> I inherited ruthenia. The bonus? I also inherited the papacy and pope's money... (I initially didnt know that I can inherit papacy, I just wanted to inherit pope's money, lol)

When that happens... my name changes to Caliph Innocent I <- Innocent??? lol, I just knived the pope, hahahahaha.

I can now Jihad the christain under the Blessed Virgin's name, lol

Ok, so here goes the pics. But first, several disclaimer: I have not attacked/abused anyone else in the west (except the pope - once I dow england and france to get the duchies which has the county that the pope's in, but as soon as the duchies DOW independence, I surrendered -> england and france got what they lost back.) So yeah, I am confused about what the shit is happening over there as well.

And the rest of the world. England has been "of Godwin" as loong as I can remember - VERY stable and engulfed wales, part of scots, and brittany (it has had like 1 succession crisis up until now). The culture is still saxon -> Wow. I checked the bastard, guess what? He got knived by Godwin the day he declared war -> LOLOLOLOL
Scot once owned ireland + norway + sweden + denmark. But I got in the way in the scandie. Egypt is super strong. Yes, it has super high decadence, but the replacing dynasties keeps going forward - which is amazing. It was as strong as me (I played hard) at one time - fielding ~500k troops until I decided that having a supper power next door is not good -> save ~5k gold and knife the rulling family in egypt. Turkish rule -> once the last of the line dies, the kingdom then split into separate kingdoms owned by most powerful once-dukes. Interesting thing: A queen of the Jimenas founded Empire of Hispania... under gavel kind succession... and she also holds castille, leon, and the other one (forget the name)... so yeah... it has been a mess until egypt dow jihad for andalusia.

Apart from the hilariousity of having 6 king titles and (so far) not being able to create an Empire, I've never seen a king with a nickname that fitting or a character with stats like that :p
Best thing though is that his name is Artus (i.e. Arthur) - while I did give him that name, I'd never have thought that he'd actually manage to become a king that wise :x
Oh, and guess how that bastard son (the bishop) of him is named :rolleyes:

(And yes, that many children seem to be a rule in my family XD)
