Fascist Propoganda Machine in Full Swing

Cries of "Leftist Conspiracy"

-New Lancaster, Eutopia As the end to Leverage's abhorrent Dictatorship has come, so do the Newspapers and Political Parties.

Three parties have sprung up, the sucsessor to the ESRP and the ESA, the New Socialist Party of Eutopia (NSPE) was one, and currently the only Democratic party currently out there. The other two either pay homage to Leverage in their title, or are formed by the sons of ETE Members.

And guess what? The second one (CURE) that was founded by Anthony Garibaldi, the son of Antonio Garibaldi, came out with some good old anti-Socialist rhetoric. His dad (yes, the man who was a strong beliver in Mussolini's policies) would be proud.

He is apparently "outraged" that the Assassin who killed Leverage hasn't been subjected to a lynching yet. I wonder why, probably because the common man isn't in favour of exacting Mob Justice on a person who was responsible for ending an evil Dictatorship. Think about it, Per Garibaldi.

We at the Eutopian Worker strongly condemn violence in all it's forms, and accordingly we feel that the Assassination of General Leverage was wrong and should be condemned (political violence has run rampant in Eutopia), we should not subject the Assassin to some vigilante lynching.

Per Garibaldi also goes on to say that his father was a "visionary who campaigned for tolerence for the Latins", but I am sorry to burst your bubble, Antonio Garibaldi was many things, but he was not a visionary. His campaigning was merely spewing hate at Socialists such as me, and most likley you as well. He called Talbott a collaborator, Josephus a Stalinist, Vasco a Socialist. He and the entire ETE did nothing but spout rhetoric.

Garibaldi says that ever since the Regency Constitution, the Government of Eutopia has been illegal because we wern't signed in by our Head of State. I guess he's right, we should have got our HoS to-wait! We didn't have a Head of State at that time! Oh well, try again, Garibaldi! You might get lucky with some of this hate and find someone who is just as filled with bile as you are.

People of Eutopia, in the next election you may vote for Talbott, and I will still respect you, O'Flonin, and I will still respect you, but if you vote for this "CURE", you will become nothing more than a tool of Fascism and instead of curing Eutopia, you will poison it.

Letter to the Editor

Dear mr. Gonzov, I have read your article with much interest in what you call propaganda and fascism. I hope this will get published in letters to editor. But first things first.

1st of all, I do not understand why you don't condemn assasianation of general Levarge (may he rest in peace).
Was it not a murder? A slaughter of human being? A waste of life? If I remember correctly you stand against capital punishment for murderers and rapists and yet you endorse killing of man for...for what? Even murderers of Caligula, the most corrupt evil being there probably was, were punished for his murder. Because crime is a crime.

Secondly, you accuse mr. Garibladi of fascism and talk about pure propaganda despite the fact that he himself said that he condemns several aspects of his politics.

Mr. Gonzov alloq me to quote you. "You might get lucky with some of this hate and find someone who is just as filled with bile as you are."

Sincerely

Ian Smith.

Per Smith, first of all thank you for writing in to the Eutopian Worker, we pride ourselves on our political coverage.

I belive that most of your points were covered in the editorial, in this part mostly:

The Editorial said:
We at the Eutopian Worker strongly condemn violence in all it's forms, and accordingly we feel that the Assassination of General Leverage was wrong and should be condemned (political violence has run rampant in Eutopia), we should not subject the Assassin to some vigilante lynching.

To reaffirm this statement, the Eutopian Worker condemns Political Violence of all kinds, in Eutopia's history there have been many attempted assassinations of prominent figures and Terrorists have run rampant. However, Mob Justice, like Garibaldi has suggested, is not the answer to these problems.

Anthony Garibaldi, has been showing many similarities with his father, but I suppose that is to be expected.

The Great Game Begins

War of the Words Commence

-New Lancaster, Eutopia To quote Anthony Garibaldi, I do not want to drag the Eutopian Worker through the mud by engaging in personal attacks, but I will gladly attempt to clear my own name by engaging in "personal defense" against Per Garibaldi.

He says that "he believes homophobic, ethnic, or gender-oriented organizations should be eliminated", which are outright lies (perhaps with the exception of homophobic organizations). Where are my protests outside the Women's League of Voters? Have I ever, ever made a speech that has attacked one of these groups? No.

He says "It is not a secret that Gonzov's Socialist Alliance called the monarchy a brutal dictatorship". Would you care to point me to where I called the monarcy brutal? Or do you just have wild accusations to fling around with no basis.

He goes on to say "Per Gonzov's new party even advocates eliminating nations and persons whom are guilty of things he has accused the former Eutopian monarchy of.", this is one of the most errenous statements I have ever heard. Not only does it compact two lies into one sentence (apparently I accuse the monarchy of Genocide), but flagrantly disregards the part of the NSPE's platform where he got this lie from. I quote from the NSPE party platform:

NSPE Party Platform said:
The NSPE believes that Eutopia must be active in the United Nations or any other world organization that promotes peace and prosperity. We believe that nations that support terrorism, commit human rights abuses, and other crimes against humanity should be eliminated through diplomatic or militaristic means[force being a last resort]. The NSPE supports trade with the rest of the world, although we refuse to allow the people to be exploited by it.

Force being a last resort. Does that sound like "strongarm tactics" to you? Of course not, but apparently it does seem like it to Per Garibaldi.

He says that "I would be willing to bet my house that Per Gonzov and his peers shed more tears after hearing about the death of President Felix Castor of Cuba than General Marcus Levarge of Eutopia.", which are also complete lies. Castor was a brutal, horrendous dictatorship, perhaps even worse than General Leverage's. I did not celebrate Castor's Cuba as a beacon of Humanity as perhaps you did with Leverage.

Garibaldi refers to the ETE as "a party which my father helped to destroy", which again, is a horrendous corruption of the truth. It is a well documented fact that the first person to be recruited for the ETE was Antonio Garibaldi, and he was a major supporter of the party until he attempted to overthrow the leadership.

He attacks Socialism, saying "Nationalization of industries and high minimum wages do not encourage people to work hard and strive for better jobs. They encourage people to sit on their hands and be content with less instead of wanting more for themselves", which again is untrue. Do you have any facts to back up your assertations, Per Garibaldi?

I suppose he doesn't, as always. His articles in The Regal have been nothing but mindless hate-mongering.

The Eutopian Right Weakening?

Royal Foundation Snubs ENP

-New Lancaster, Eutopia With the Eutopian Nationalist Party's faliure to grab the attention of the many Special Interest Groups, only gaining, predictably, the bigoted Soldiers of God organization, many people are asking questions about the party's failings.

Why has the right failed to get the vital support of the Royal Foundation, who went to the Eutopian Labour Party, as well as not getting overt support from other organizations such as the Armed Forces Servicemen's Fund and the Eutopian Firearms Association?

One view is that, apart from a recent. misguided speech attacking the Right for the Working Class to recive Health-care in an attempt to broaden their platform, almost every speech that the ENP has made has been about taxes, and how they are more evil that Satan.

Of course, there have been other speeches, such as the infamous Sykes speech slandering Homosexuals, but for the most part the Eutopian Nationalist Party has been looking like a one-issue party. It is plainly clear that the Royal Foundation are not interested in Taxes, nor are the AFSF or the EFA.

Other parties, such as the Eutopian Labour Party, which has got the support of the Eutopian Congress of Labour, have been campaigning on many issues, such as Transportation, Global Warming and Worker's Rights.

While the Eutopian Labour Party cares about your rights and the issues facing you, the ENP goes on about Taxes and Privitization, denying you the right to proper healthcare.

People, the choice is clear, vote for the Eutopian Labour Party.

Longarm Refinery Explosion

Perpitrator, Casualties Unclear

-Farpoint, WET Around 9PM Eutopian Time last evening, there was an explosion at Longarm Refinery in West Eutopia. Casualties are unkown, and local authorities are baffled at the cause. Is this the first Terrorist attack in Eutopia for decades, or merely a fatal accident? The Eutopian Worker is co-operating with the authorities to find out the answer as soon as possible. Furthermore, this newspaper would like to send it's condolences to any who might be affected by this terrible disaster.

Scandal

Tortured Prisoners, Assassination and Partisan Politics

-Farpoint, WET Mohammed Jassim Ali is his name, and we are led to belive that the American goverment considers him a dangerous terrorist, so much so that when he was captured by Eutopian Police, they demanded for him to be handed over immediately. The President says he asked for an investigation, the Attorney General says he asked for the exchange to be stopped.

Miranda al-Mahir is her name, a defense attorney who lived and worked in Farpoint, and she was the person who's job it was to defend Ali for charges of burglary. She never did.

Mohammed Jassim Ali, when interview by the Attorney General John O'Flonin, displayed his marks, cigarette and eletrical burns, rope marks over his wrists and ankles and thirty-one boot heel marks all over his body. O'Flonin says it was impossible to tell whether these were torture marks, however the defense attorney al-Mahir tends to think differently.

President Zhoyken? You can either belive one of two things: That he was informed of Ali's injuries but still wanted him to be sent back to America in order not to jepordise international relations, or that he was mislead by the evil AG who never told him the extent of the injuries, yet still ordered an investigation.

And where does the cabinet come into all of this? Nowhere, apparently. It seems that the President never informed his cabinet, even when there was a suspected terrorist loose in Eutopia at the same time a refinery exploded. Why is this? I can think of one reason, Partisan Politics. The President only chose one person to tell, his MRP coalition partner the Attoney General. Guess who he didn't inform? The ELP Minister of Finance Alastair Cain.

In fact, at the Press Conference held earlier this year after the Longarm Refinery Explosion, the President said this:

President Zhoyken said:
[Per Cain's] assertions that he has been kept in the dark are false.

In other words, he lied. He lied to conceal the truth, about a possibly innocent person tortured and beaten by police being handed over to the Americans where we can only assume he will be beaten and tortured even more, even killed.

In case you're wondering, al-Mahir is now dead. A few days after being interviewed by Per Rapp in which she said that she feared for her safety and was being followed, her car plummeted off a cliff around Farpoint. The Police say it is an accident, or was it another desperate act by the administration to conceal the truth from the public?

Perhaps it is. Perhaps.

A New Hope – Peace descends on New Bengal

At 6 pm last night, one could see Separatists filing towards the police station, as they have done countless times. But this time was different. This time, they put their hands up, lay down their weapons, and were searched by Tilapian troops, and simply let go. This is one of the greatest turning points in Tilapia’s, and, indeed, Eutopia’s history. For the first time in nine years, you can no longer hear artillery shells, nor machine-gun fire, nor tank tracks.

This is due to the efforts of a Presbyterian clergyman, a mayor, and a Separatist leader. What could have been called off due to Gonzov’s blatant violation of international law instead sowed the seeds for this momentous day. For generations to come, people will compare the Woking Conference as an astute example of statesmanship, and will be a testament to the inherent goodness of this human race
