Stuck with "The Conquest of Howlong Rock"

Please help!

"At Gulfglow is a Disfavored commander who holds the shard of Azurelith needed to enter the Earthshaker camp at Howling Rock. Acquire the shard."

1. I met with Basilon, asked to give me time to speak with the beastwoman
2. I met the beastwoman, she gave me the Azure Shield, activated the Spire after that
3. Can't talk neither to Basilon and beastwoman about anything (they just say a few lines "above their heads"), can't attack none of them, don't have the Azurelith

I'm stuck

I've managed to spawn the required Azurelith item into my inventory by console commands.

BUT the quest does not update, the game recognizes my character as still attempting to get it from Basilon.

Does that mean I'll not be able to reach the Spire next to Cairn?

Good news: I've figured it out. But this forum is dead anyway.

Ran into the same issue. Wish you had explained how you figured it out. Had to reload and decide to kill either Basilon or Red-Fang. Kind of annoying when the game invites you to try diplomacy and then bugs out.
