If, thanks to the inspired leadership of <insert player's name here>, Polish history had taken a slightly different course, such a strong and enterprising country would doubtless have participated in exploration and colonization rather than declining after the 1640s. If it doesn't it should be because of decisions and circumstances rather than forcing countries into historical molds that don't necessarily fit in the alternate history presented by each game of EU.
