Therefore, I assume you are asking permission to take a vacation, or indirectly asking whether it is a good idea to go to the Cayman Islands. What have you done since you became MIDA? You have appointed a deputy, and turned down another one. Did you know you could have two deputies? What as the one you appointed done? You had started to organize a law enforcement summit, a good idea, but where is the follow through? When will this be happening? You had talked about expanding the highway and railroad network. Where are the proposals, and the request for public comments on the plans? Forgive me for being brusque, but it seems like you have been on vacation here, for some time already. I replaced MESA Josephus for inactivity and was on the verge of doing so with MERL Talbott, who finally managed to get something done, that will be quite valuable when it is announced in a day or two. As for the summit, no-one has responded! I was planning to have it held at the Grand Eutopian Hotel! Did the Ambassadors from Tilapia or St.Espirit respond? Tell me that! I have had trouble getting responses from our neighbors as well, so I am not blaming you for it failing to occur, but we mustn't pin all our hopes on one event that depends on others to bring it about. You know the old saying, 'don't put all you eggs in one basket.' Just put in a decent amount of activity at MIDA and things will be fine. Announce a plan for a rail and/or highway connection to Western Eutopia, and let the public comment, and then modify the plans immediately before the term ends. And please don't give the contract to anybody, let qualified contractors bid. That way you will have something to cite when you start campaigning for the next election, and I will be able to point to a wider range of accomplishments for my administration as well. This is an opportunity for you to show you can do well, that the next President will keep in mind when appointing his cabinet.
As to Volkov, I thought he was just introducing Truman to some arms sellers, but he seems to have gotten more involved, by being part owner of the ship that was sunk, which was wasn't something we were involved anyway, other than Truman foolishly signing a blank form.

Uhmm I am at a lost for words......of course I will take the posistion, but who will look after ENDTech.
The workload of a deputy minister is variable. At the beginning, I think you should try to do both jobs. You should delegate a bit more at ENDTech, and of course look into an appropriate succession plan their, in case this leads to something bigger, next term or whenever. It will also help you campaigning in the next election.
