This map was well thought out from the beginning by allowing the expansion to the south. With the vanilla map expanding to the south requires a change to all the original positions in the positions.txt file - very tedious.

There are 397 provinces on that version of the map.

With the (somewhat unexpected) revival of this thread we passed 2000 views... meaning I had to dig up something new... so the first post is updated with a table of (almost) all the different types of provinces in MN along with the screen from the map preview
