Are the units different from Vanilla?
Which units should I focus on as Germany?

There are many small differences- floatplanes are unavailable, for one.
For your Navy, build several carriers (As long as you don't cancel ship construction in one of your first events, you'll get one for free) and guard them with your best escorts and no other capital ships- the International's navy should pose no threat then.

Should I keep the command over my puppets armies or give it back?
Is there a way to annex my puppets?

Keep command of their armies, they don't use them very well.

A little question, is there a peace event for a Qing-German war? In spring 1938 I (Qing) got the negotiations event with the AOG, went for it all and after some war rhetoric they broke off negotiations and called their German overlords for the war. Now it's December 1938, the AOG is annexed and all German possessions in China are liberated. Their Indochinese possessions have been taken over by Indochina after a rebellion. Aside from that Sri Lanka and Morocco also declared independence, while Germany's still embroiled in the war against France that broke out after the Romandie question. Although the Germans after some defeats have take Paris a couple of days ago I don't think they'll have any chance of recapturing any territory in China. I know of vanilla Hearts of Iron that members of the big alliances won't agree to any negotiated peace, so is there an event for that, or do I have to keep warring on (or cheat to make the AI accept my peace terms)?

How is Russia?
Can it become strong in a few years?
And does it have many events?
Who can I fight as Russia?

Do France and Britain have many events? Who will they fight against in the war?

Or can I get rid of my colonies as Germany?
Or should I just ignore them?

Almost all nations have many many events.. And also every game is different because every time different pathways occurs..

Russia can be strong but Russia is in politic crysis.. If soviet revulution occur it can become maybe superpower.. Otherwise a civil war will come...

Hadn't played your mod for quite a while so I was a bit surprised ti see that Germany seems to be pretty weak which was really annoying because I played the Soviet Union and then Britain and hoped for a german victory to have a long and dark war but France alone steamroled them in a year. Sad.

Socialism's quick triumph should be a cause for celebration, comrade!

We've been working on trying to balance that part of WKII forever- it used to be the other way around. For my part, I've always seen the two end up in a stalemate.

I've seen enough games that have gone either way.

It's been a while since I've actually played KR. Does Canada actually invade Britain now? Or is their naval AI still broken?
I've never seen it happen. It's hard to invade Britain though, considering they just pile tons of divisions on every attacked beachhead...
