Let china take manchuria, but keep the capture of russian far eats. It would fit with the "democratic liberation" style of this new japan, plus this gives more realism to the fact that russia didnt make war with japan's invasion of primorsk, with china as japan's ally. Also you should give more ic to coastal chinese japanese ports and put more ressources in korea, manchuria to simulate economical projects and exchange programs.
Also another idea for Japan. Like i said in the previous proposal, democracy was big in japan until economical problems hit the country letting the fascists take power and starting wars in asia. But what if, instead of fascists rising to power because of ecnomical problems, the left syndicalists and anarchists came to power? The left was a strong voice in the japanese democracy until they were erased by the fascists.
Maybe this red take over could create an Asian Socialist Union and team up with mao and asian leftist independance movements (like indonesia) to free asia from the colonials and capitalists. This would allow for a japanese game somewhat similar to ww2, since this would allow for a war with USA if they start to reppress their anarchists too strongly.
