If I load a EU4 save into Vic3, what happens from 1821 to 1836 ?

I am pondering whether to purchase Vic3, one argument whould be that thus 1821 would not be the end of the world. I see the relevant wiki article, but it does not seem to be very explicit as to that gap, does it ?

For example, what happens, with technologies and ideas ? Do all nations remain as they were, or are there any behind-the-scene annexions or secessions or independance ? Ditto regime changes.

Do you mean loading it into the converter? You'd be better off asking one of the mod authors.

Did you actually read that page you linked? I never used the converter, but after reading it, it seems generally clear to me what happens when you use it. You can either port your EU4 save's date directly as the start date (but the further back you are from the end date the worse the outcome will be, for example converting a 1600s save would translate into a worse literacy rate and economic setup than say an 1700s one, and the wiki says that from 1815 on you are generally fine and not heavily penalized), or choose to make the jump to 1836. In both cases behind the scenes calculations take place to determine how each country gets set up (literacy, starting economy, tech, diplomatic pacts, laws, the whole shebang). Try reading it thoroughly and if something still isn't clear, maybe you could also ask on the converter's steam page, you are more bound to find people who have more experience with it there :)
