I've been playing a bit of the demo, and at some point I got around to using the ASW helicopter's dipping sonar. Once it was deployed I figured "hey, I wonder if this game will break realism and let me move my helicopter around with the dipping sonar deployed". Lo and behold, it did just that....my helo flew around at 300 kph with the dipping sonar extended. So is there really any reason to ever undeploy it? I read another topic about the towed array on surface ships and how it only functions if the ship is below a certain speed....is that the same for the helo's dipping sonar, that you can keep it perpetually deployed but it only functions at slow speed or while hovering?

Next, how do you identify subs without resorting to the "I think it's an enemy" and designating it manually? The dipping sonar seems to work nicely, but what if you're using a Poseidon or Orion? Do you just have to drop more sonobuoys? While we're at it, how do you identify aircraft? A lot of times the AI saves me the trouble and simply turns on its active radar. However on Barents Escort, I turned on active radar on aa F-35 and it was able to instantly identify certain contacts, like the Project 206's as well as an Il-76 tanker. However it does not identify the Su-27's, so I'm a bit confused as to why some contacts are ID'ed and not others.
