WAR!

During the early hours of this morning (October 1st 1948) German and other Berlin Pact forces launched into an unprovoked attack against civilian and military positions in NAPTO member countries around the world. Hours after the attacks began the official announcements of the German Declaration of War were made. For the third time in a century Germany has plunged the world into a terrible conflict fuelled by an ambitious Kaiser. This is the world’s last chance for freedom, fight now or surrender the globe to the Reich’s demonic hordes.

The two main battlefronts shall be Europe and the Far East. In Continental Europe only the valiant Spaniards stand before the combined power of the Reich and its minions. Across the English Channel the proud people of the British Isles have withstood foreign invasion for centuries and this German attack shall be no different. Rest assured America shall do its bit to fight for every last inch of freedom as even as this report is written US Airmen are being scrambled across the Oceans to help our comrades in arms in both Europe and Asia.

Millions of the people of Asia have lived under the security of British and American protection over the past few years; sadly millions more have suffered under Germanic tyranny. Today just as the treacherous Krauts bombed London and shelled Barcelona their puppets in Asia have done likewise focusing their efforts against Korea and the American Chinese territory.

The President’s gallant attempts to deal with the madman that is the Kaiser have proved unsuccessful, sadly the peace loving American people must be called up into another war of German making. Our hopes and prayers go out to the oppressed millions under German domination and to our fighting friends over seas. And remember, the only good Kraut is a dead one.

The only good yankee is a shot one.
Germania shall rule the earth!

And again the germanic race decides to fight other germanic races, this time for the final world domination.... let the pursuit of democracy and freedom within one boundaries of one single strong state begin!

Proceed!

This is awesome! Give 'em hell and make them remember that it was the German steel, sweat and blood which conquered the world. NO they didn't conquer. They liberated from evil non-German democracies..

Good update. Can hardly wait for Germany to crush the treacherous British and show the American that they are not top dog. If the Soviets can beat them so can the Germans. :)

Let loose the dogs of war! :D

What happened to your Ottoman Empire?

After Spain plays its role as a mountainous speedbump, shall you encourage Portugal into your alliance with liberal use of hundreds of thousands of soldiers and thousands of tanks and aircraft? Rather like the Sovs in "Advantages Without Obligations"?

After all, you can't risk having a part of Europe unsecured and possibly welcoming a multi-million man army of liberation from the Americas, now can you? ;)

Treacherous Cur and his Nation of Ungrateful Dogs – Siam

untitled408.jpg

In late September a secret council of the entire Berlin Pact had voted unanimously in favor of Germany’s plan of attack against NAPTO and had agreed to follow through with a combined Berlin pact declaration of war. When was finally came the combined Berlin Pact authority declared war on NAPTO on behalf of every member of the Pact thus bringing Siam into the war.

But since then Rama IX had had a change of heart, realizing that the Siamese would bare the heavy burden of besieging Hanoi, conquering Malay, protecting Indochina and would be alone in protecting Siam itself from the British in Burma he quickly looked for a way out. So a few hours before the first Pact attacks began he sent a secret telegram to Prime Minister Churchill informing him of the impending attack in return for a chance to pull out of the war with Britain’s protection. Although the information arrived too late to help any other nation it did arrive soon enough to put the RAF on standby which in turn allowed a quick British response to the German attack, the German plan had relied on surprise to allow the Fallschirmjäger to reach southern England unopposed but by the time they reached the Channel RAF interceptors were there to meet them. One hour after the official Berlin Pact declaration of war (whilst the air battle in the Channel raged) a thankful Winston Churchill made peace with Siam on behalf of the entire Berlin Pact.

Back in Berlin Heuss couldn’t have been more incensed as he threatened war against the ‘’hat treacherous cur and his nation of ungrateful dogs’’, the Pact’s entire South-East Asian strategy relied on the Siamese army. Now rather than being in a position to besiege Hanoi the Germans risked losing Indochina to its garrison, now hopes of isolating Hong Kong by taking Singapore were over, now German prestige in the region was demolished. Heuss was desperate to respond with war but his political advisors held him back, by attacking Siam Germany would alienate the South American and European nations that could still potentially join the Pact whilst almost certainly bringing the Soviets into a war against Germany much earlier than the OKH had hoped. For now Germany would have to settle for an embargo against Siam and the seizure of Rama XI’s 3 million Reichsmark estate in German controlled Russia (equivalent to £1,000,000).

Germany’s vengeance would come one day, but today the Reich had enough on its hands.

@ nomonhan: still exists but we are not allies at the moment

@TheMaleRei: I think I could get the Portuguese in but since they have those big nd useful African colonies I'm going to wait until I'm ready to take on that entire Continent so I can use Angola and Mozambique as luanching points for an invasion.

Well now that we are done with those 'Lucking Liamese Lastards'

We will go onto to see how things are going whith Seelowe and as this update suggested, well ''even the best laid plans ...''

Siam sucks. They are always having coups and peaces and stuff. And unreliable ally at all times. I think this is a region once conquered, that needs to become a permanent Reich Colony. No government, even a puppet can be trusted.

May I suggest starting the last section over after sleeping the Siam surrender event?
The Siamese surrender is event 3813, and it automatically makes Siam give up if Japan either does not exist or has surrendered. It would not be appropriate for your situation.
Either create a custom event and fire it or edit the savegame by putting event 3813 in the sleepevent section.

Wait a minute--there's an easier way. Pause the game. Use the acceptall cheat to re-ally them. Then immediately disable the cheat by typing acceptall again. Event 3813 won't fire twice.

Operation Seelöwe and the Battle of the Channel

The plan for the invasion of Britain was simply to use the Luftwaffe to send 12 divisions of Fallschirmjäger across the Channel to Dover whilst the RAF was still on the ground, once the port became secure the main army would be ferried across the Channel and victory would be sure. Yet the betrayal of Germany by the King of Siam meant that the RAF was ready for the Germans and was able to deploy well over a dozen squadrons of fighters and interceptors to the Channel to ambush the Luftwaffe.

The British jets pounced on the fleet of bombers and transport planes making their way across the Channel, the vanguard of fighter squadrons had actually flown on ahead of the main column and were already flying over London by the time the RAF first started to pick Luftwaffe aircraft out of the sky. Luckily the commander of the Operation, Adolf Galland, was quick to order fighters over form the western end of the Channel to give support to the invasion force as well as calling all fighters already over Britain back into the fight. Within an hour the RAF forces already involved were taking heavy losses to the ever increasing German fleet but the attack had won a few precious hours which had allowed the RAF to mobilise a large force of reinforcements. As both RAF and Luftwaffe jets fought throughout the day and into the night the aerial invasion force was forced to simply try to stay alive by remaining in the Channel evading attacks as Galland had ignored calls to call the whole invasion off.

As midnight approached the RAF was forced to withdraw back to their bases to lick their wounds after suffering terrible losses giving the Luftwaffe a short window of opportunity to proceed with the planned invasion.

Just over half of the Fallschirmjäger made it to Dover with 12,000 dead and a further 23,000 being picked up by the Kriegsmarine the King of Saim’s treachery had been costly. Now already exhausted from a day caught in the largest aerial battle in history the Fallschirmjäger (although able to quickly secure much of Dover) were under siege by around 50,000 British troops including an entire Centurion tank division.

Your probably right but I'm a bit further on now in game and am currently torn between nuking Bangkok, taking it for my empire or both

Or you could form Indochina from the smoky ruins of Siam... :p
If that country exists in your game version.
120k versus 50k doesn't sound bad, you'll win.
