This will be my aar using Songhai. I actually intend to finish this one:rolleyes: I never thought to write it until I got to 1493 so far it is just a summary. My main goal will be to conquer as much as possible for Islam. The point is not to conquer the world (although it may end up that way), but rather to convert as many provinces to Islam and to fight all other religions. Who knows? I may end up merging all nations of one religion to several super countries to have a challenge. The Songhai Empire currently stretches from the gates of Kongo and all of West Africa to the port of Tunis. Inflation is rampant and nationalism is furious in the newly annexed portion of North Africa.

There was a successful war with Spain in which 50k of our men landed and took the whole of Iberia. When peace was offered there was King Muhammad's offer and Spain's offer. They were mixed up and Spain's was taken. In these terms all Spanish colonies were taken. We immediately send an army to Mexico and begin colonial expansion and annexation of Zapotec. There had been no expansion in Africa for the last 30 years since it was mainly revolt clobbering and converting (which didn't go that well).

I played for 10 years today. The Mayans were overrun as well as Aragon and Naples.

After battle of Sicily.

Muhammad - Screw the Aragonese claims. Messina is now ours. Raise an army there and we can knock out Naples on our way north.

A few months later.

[COLOR=green=]Sire, our elite cavalry division has smashed the bang bang sticks of Naples. Their fire blowers were loud and annoying, but we have taken Apulia and their capital is under siege.[/COLOR]

Grand, send order for a bang bang stick. I'd like to see one.

Two days later the lieuntant returns with a bang bang stick.

[COLOR=green=]Great new, Sire! Naples is willing to cede us Apulia and the obscure Balkan province of Bujak. I have also brought back a bang bang stick.[/COLOR]

*shoots bang bang stick*

I see the awesome power of this stick. Arm our horsemen with them. (land tech 11)

Your next assignment is to overrun Rome and bring me the Pope on a stake.

A few months later...

Then have him burned!


I want the Papal States slayed and every citizen converted to the true faith.

Muhammad never lives to see this happen...
 
Ha! you tricked me I was sure Muhammad was going to accidentally shoot himself with the Bang bang stick. :D

Owwww! THAT bang bang stick.... I was thinking about the other one:D. Bang bang sticks are good, and even Private Pyle is good at shooting (FMJ.) Noe converting Rome would be a nice deed. So don't give upo before you succeed!

Good start, Prince Eugene. The 'bang-bang' stick reminds me of the 'boom stick' from Army of Darkness :)

Marche - April 1563

Great, let me go and see the courthouse. We must torture some Catholics.

[COLOR=green=]Yes Sire! You shall be taken at once.[/COLOR]

A cannonball whizzes through Daud's second division. The lieutenant is decapitated right as he was about to order off the Daud's escort to the courthouse. Ottoman invaders rush over the hills and the king and all of his men are massacred.

Naples - 3 days later.
Colonel Umokoko was a young soldier who had been left in charge of 17,000 men for the Napoli Defense. The king had granted such an inexperienced soldier such an army because he thought that he would be babysitting rather than fighting.

Colonel Umukoko!

I am the lone survivor of the King's Army. The Ottomans suddenly attacked us and King Daud is dead.

Dang it! Go south to Apulia and get another army. There request them to send and expedition from Tunisia. In the mean time I will rush north to Marche to defeat the invasion.

The messenger rides off.

Siena

Colonel Umukoko addresses his army.

We are now in Siena. I have led you here because their monarch is an Ottoman vassal and is harbouring an Ottoman army. Altogether there are around 30,000 enemy troops. Our 17,000 with the back-up army coming in from Apulia in a week or so can take them. Their mass is great, but we are more skilled and will wipe them off the face of the earth.

Colonel Umukoko, Siena has fallen.

December 25, 1565

Colonel Umukoko, When Gao heard of this war they sent the Supreme Army. All over Italy now there are 105,000 elite cavalry riders. We are preparing for the invasion of the Ottoman Empire.

A man in his 70s rides up.

Colonel Umukoko, I am Supreme Field Marshall Ornoco. I will be taking command of these armies and the invasion. Return immediately to your defense post in Naples. You will be given 500 men for the task.



What does Colonel Umukoko think of losing his armies to some old fart? What will become of the counterattack on the Ottoman Empire? Find out as soon as I finish my book....;)
 
I guess God was pissed the king wanted to torture some Catholics. :D
