I, Ladislav, hereby proclaim the challenge to all skilled EU players to venture into the abyss and return faithfully back among us, so I challenge them to perform feats not they heard of in this forum. Feats from which many a stouthearted hero has shrunk, be it because of his unskillfulness or but not firm resolve. Thus, I present you, noble warriors, in an age when world conquest is but frowned upon and many a player has achieved this feat with nations small and irrelevant. Present you with my own labour to perform, a task I ask of you, to win recognition and fame and for ever have inscribed your nick in golden letter upon the virtual hall of fame of this forum. It will not be easy to achieve this goal that I set forth. And it never was an intention of mine to present you with something to be easily obtained. All who accept this challenge will be held in high asteem, but only those who will not shrink in the thick of battle, but will stand proud and tall against the tide of faith, only those who will return to this thread with definate prood that they have performed this labour soon to be spelled, only those will be awarded the ultimate accolade. No gifts or gold, or tanned maidens will be presented to him, no title nor rank. He will be awarded the respect of his fellow warriors, who have fought or but observed. That he has accepted the challenge, fulfilled it and is now standing before us, the ultimate contender. One who has sallied forth and retunred here within with not boastful claims, but with victory hanging from his shoulders and illuminating his posts wherever he chooses to parade them. And so listen, for the challenge is here! I, Ladislav, challenge any forumite willing to do so, to perform the feat of World Conquest!, but not in the Grand Campaign as is the norm, but rather in the 1773 scenario. Who ever will do this with the humblest most realm will be awarded the title of fame and proclaimed the winner of Ladislav's challenge. Alas, you shall refrain from playing in patch lower than 1.05, which itself is acceptable and calibrate your difficulty settings to the second most trying: hard and agressive. Beware, forgery of any sort will be deemed the highest insult into this noble endeavor and so ride forth, brave souls and Conquer the World in the scenario commencing in 1773. Do you dare?..

IIRC, there's no 1777 scenario, only a 1773...

in case you're wondering, and i took for granted, patch 1.05 or higher, settings 2nd most difficult, meaning (hard, agressive). correct me if im wrong

the choice of nation i leave to the individuals. if you manage to do it with prussia, we will value it more than england. but you have to strike a balance between a challenge and actual possibility. its hard to do world conquest starting in 1773 with portugal. but effort is awarded too.

EDIT: time plays a very large part and war on multiple fronts are a must.

Yes, but does the Lady have any "hypothetical favorite underdog nation" in her mind? Not saying it would necessarily sway my choice, but....

well, first of all, Ladislav is a male name and so is my gender

but if you want, you can kick it off with France and see where it takes you. the title will shift to whomever has played with a harder nation. is it even possible?

LOL! Sorry 'bout that! And as to the challenge....nahhhh, France seems like they'd just have *too* good a shot at it! I'm looking for a short list of countries you think it'd be possible with, but unlikely....
