Need some help folks (Where can I learn to mod?)

I want to create a Rogue State mod of nations like Libya, North Korea, Iran and of course Iraq for sheer shits and giggles.

The problem is I don't have a scooby doo of how to actually do it...

At the least I want to create some generals and leaders for Iraq to make playing them tolerable rather than having some cretin called General Wessex commanding the troops.

How would I go about creating some leaders for nations that don't have a pool and where can I learn the code to create them? Can this even be done? What the hell is wrong with me that I actually want to do this? ..

I'm afraid there's such a terrible part of me that wants to create Gaddafi and chums and stick them into a WW2 scenario for the hell of it to add a strong anti-west presence in the game for want of a better word. Hell, the Arab League would make an interesting force to be reckoned with against the Comintern, allies and axis. Is there a mod out specialising in tyrannical third world middle eastern despots?

Tah in advance for the help. I apologise if this seems bizarre but I suppose recent 'events' in the news got me thinking about HoI and how a little middle eastern Hitler like Saddam could change things if given the chance. I'd like to see for myself.

Again, thanks for your time.

Run into a slight problem here.

I've added a leader for Iraq (Field Marshall Afzal) and it works fine but when I try to add another General below him it won't show up in the game yet the code looks alright.

Is this because the ID code is crap ? (I think I just made a code up and stuck him in there and followed on from that.)

Suggestions please folks?

Please bare in mind you're dealing with someone who tried to pull open a door marked 'push' today

If I wanted to create a few Generals what ID should I use for Iraq for example to file them in in the Leader db?
