Talking Total Victory (screenshot)

April 1943:

This is a MP game that went quite a while (since 1.02 came up). I played Germany and my good friend Musso.. err.. Zenith50 played Italy.

Scenario: 1936
AI: Hard
Agressivness: Normal

It all started according to history with the Anshluss and all. Ho apart from the fact that I pupetted Belgium early on (sweet sweet smell of rubber). We wanted to keep poland intact (no border with russia could be fun) but it joined the allies and then the allies went for me so...

Italy went nuts in africa with some panzer expeditionnary forces. I annexed poland quite fast then went for france and vichy'ed the hell out of them. But Italy had troops in Tunis and they went into the pool, not wanting to come back anywhere but in tunis. So we declare war on Vichy and annexed them! (Japan had the indochine event)

UK was starting to get on my nerve with the bombing and all so I did sea lion and was quite succesfull. Then my fellow Canadian, as brave as they can make them, landed near Danzig! Hmm yes Canada... Hmm. I built 24 transport and went visiting the superb coast of Canada (with some panzer field marshall that needed the holiday). Couple of weeks later Canada is a Germany District! And no more surprise landing.

By then my italian friend was doing quite well in africa and was gathering oil field all over the place (saudi arabia was a pain, he lost a couple of tanks to the desert). So we tought, hey could be fun to annex UK!! So a couple of 12 pack of panzer went from the russian border to the coast and shipped to india! This was a bloody fight the italians arrived just in time to hold an encirclement near calcutta and BOOM 4 panzer led by Rommel detroyed 13 UK divisions! (ok, they were surrounded, they were mostly what was left of previous attack but hey! 4 to 13!! wow!)

Rest of india was easy. But then Australia started mesing with us! Let's go Mussos, let's pay them a visit! After a check for Victory points distrubution we went for 4 simultaneous landing. Bye bye Australia! Since that gave us the VC they had stolen we annexed UK! Woohoo! Hmm USA still not in the war... Ok finish off the dutch and PAF! Russia declare war!! Ouchy.

Long story short, Italy went from turkey I took main front, after a couple of decicive encirclement (were talking 18-30 russian division each time here!) we took bitter peace.

And plaf game crash... We managed to continu playiong but we get "Database mismatch: abort, retry, ignore" each time we load the game, ignore's the ticket.

After that we decided to went for USA Italy had to go trought mexico so I helped him a little (2 12 division army) but shortly after the annexatio of mexico the game crashed for good... Every time... So the screenshot IS the end of the war let's pretend USA surrendered, they are now part of the great Axis)

Ouf more word then I wanted to...
Anyway it was a reallly FUN game!!!

Now we're doing the unholy alliance of Russia and Japan!!

But then if you annexed the USA, you wouldn't have anyone to laugh at.

This is a bit better than my game as Germany... I puppeted Belgium, conquered enought of France to vichy them, then landed in GB. All went okay untill I suddenly was in a war with Soviet Union! I hadn't seen any DoW, so I suspect a bug.

Anyway, most of my troops were in GB, and when they came, it was too late. I had lost most of my troops on the border to SU, and now they have come around my defences, heading for Berlin!

Well, better luck next time!

To be fair to Dan I have it on good authority that Stalin ordered his soldiers to organize a baby boom to raise a new crop of soldiers for the rodina.

I have played game straight through and have never been able to get my coal, steel, rubber, and oil at 99,999. And have never had my manpower over 500 once war broke out. Then again i have never played USSR either but i dont think the Soviet Union starts out with enough transports to tranfer supplies like that. But what do i know ive only completed about 15 games. Whats your trick on getting your resources to stay up so high. Hell my fleet uses half my oil, and my mech/armor eats up the other half lol.
