Question

Hope everyone whose just gotten their hands on Eu in the past day or so is enjoying it as much as I have been. Though, something strange has been happening and I'm not sure if it's actually supposed to. I've been playing the Age of Revolutions scenario as Russia and was doin fairly well. Annexed Crimea almost right away and three Turkish provinces as well over time. Completed a couple of easy missions (i.e. royal wedding with a specific country with 5 years, hold a specific province for 5 years, etc.), had set up trading posts all around Africa, and monopolized several CoT's all over Europe. All this without really pissing anyone but Turkey and England. And my only wars were the original war with Turkey and Crimea and 2 later wars with Turkey, and a war right at the end against Sweden, England, Spain, France, with my Denmark, Austria, and (someone else I don't remember) military alliance. I had occupied Finland and two other Swedish provinces when 1792 rolled around and the scenario ended. Anyway, that's all background. The wierd thing is through all of that, me, as well as every other country, always has victory points equal to zero. Am I missing something somewhere? Do I have to do something to get them to show? As an aside, the same thing happened when I played the tutorial, I just assumed at the time that you were not meant to accumulate victory points in the tutorial? Anyone have any helpful advice? Thanks.

Hi Kessar!

Victory points are an optional setting when you start the game. You have to turn that option on, and then the game will start to count victory points. With that option on you will probably enjoy the game even more.

Yikes! *That's why I must not be getting any victory points as well.

Is there any way to turn this option back on once you have started the campaign?

The options are somewhat confusing at first. The 'Base Victory Points' refer to using them or not, and the 'Dynamic Missions' I assumed meant the computer picking missions for you automatically, which I turned off. The third one is 'Forced Annexation', which again, I am assuming, is for the complete occupation of a country during a war and annexing it without giving them a choice.

If I'm wrong on these, by all means, correct me.
