Potentially Fatal Bugs!!!!!
I want to warn all of you guys about some nasty bugs that I have recently come across while playing EU3. In all cases I am using EU3 1.3 vanilla and GF 1.1 vanilla.
BUG #1. GF: GET OFF THE COMPUTER!!! IT’S TIME FOR DINNER. Didn’t she see the 2 liter of Pepsi and the box of donuts I brought with me to the computer? BUG #2. GF: STOP PLAYING THAT GAME AND WALK THE DOG! Just open the door. He knows his way back home. BUG #3. GF: OKAY, IT’S TIME TO WATCH <<RANDOM CHICK FLICK>> !!! This is not a good time. I just got DOWed by Burgundy. BUG #4. GF: COME TO BED, IT’S 3:00 IN THE MORNING!!! But…But...in two more years I can diplo-annex Savoy…. Will a patch be released for this???? |

Easiest way to overcome this bug is to remove the GF from your files.

I've experienced similar bugs called the Wife Bugs rather than GF. I find the "yes dear" patch is often useful

It sounds like you are the junior partner in a personal union. I suggest inciting a rebellion and remove her. Also to avoid future problems avoid royal marriages, they can be even more detrimental.

EU3/GF Conflict, patch v1.1
Fix list - GF will no longer be unreasonable in peace demands. - GF demanding attention should no longer coincide with crucial moments in the game (e.g. major war) - GF has improved understanding of importance of EU3 - GF will no longer make ridiculous comments such as 'it's not even real' or 'i'm talking about something in the real world, something that actually matters.' - No stability hit for refusing to load/unload dishwasher or assist with preparing dinner - No longer are your demands less likely to be met if you go to bed 3 hours later than GF due to becoming distracted by invading the Aztec Empire. This patch will arrive 4 hours late, it needs time to sort it's hair. |

I found that by locking myself in the WC with my laptop and claiming that it must have been something I ate helps me buy some more time to get that annex I worked so desperately hard for.

do not issue an embargo as this may lead backfiring.
To gain postion when they are at war send war subsides to offset any offence prepare to sucrifice time and money. For some reason you never have a casus belli and they do! WARNING: absolutly don't declare war, you don't have the manpower  , or the funds. IF you do declare war, prepare to have you port blockaded.
