Hi everybody,
After some thought I've managed to consolidate my Assyria and Pontus mods into one grand mod I'm going to call 'Anatolian Wars'.
I've just begun tech teams etc for Pontus and have nearly finished Assyria, and all the other nations are already existing in the regular HOI2 and HOI2:Doomsday vanilla game.
Basically, the concept of the game is that after the Turkish War of Independence, the allies managed to crush the Kemalist forces and therefore finally imposed the Treaty of Sevres on Turkey. This results in a small, angry Turkey with terretorial claims everywhere in modern Turkey's borders.
Greece, meanwhile, controls all of Western Anatolia- I'm not sure about Istanbul yet- it could be a puppet Ottoman Empire controlled by the Allies, or it could be owned by Greece as part of the Greek Nationalist 'Megali Idea' belief.
Anyway, Greece will be supporting its Hellenic compatriots in Pontus, on the Black Sea Coast, who will be tied between helping the USSR, who helped secure their independence, or Greece, with whom they share a common agenda. There will, however, be no possibility of 'Enoisis' (merging) with Greece and Pontus as there was between Greece and Crete in 1910, due to international issues which would restrict such an act.
In the East, Armenia- independent of the USSR- will actually have Yerevan and Kirovabad, but also Kars and Erzurum. They will be in a war with Kurdistan over Van, which was then both Armenian and Kurdish populated. Iraq will befriend Assyria, who will probably try and play off Kurdish and Armenian interests to expand their territory, which will be Mosul and Batman.
Meanwhile, Turkey has to regain its territory, and all the other nations have to finally gain their territorial wishes through war or tactful diplomacy- kind of like China in the 1936 campaign... but Anatolian.
I'm even considering making Cappadocia independent, as another semi-Hellenic nation, just to add to the mad situation in the East!
Anyway, this will be my first mod- I hope to release it in the late summer or autumn, work permitting, and have already started work on Pontus and Assyria. :)
Here is a map, just to explain what the nations will look like at the outset of 1936:

Anyway, if you want to help me with this, just PM me!
Mehmet

Prime minister of Pontus looks familiar :D

But I noted, that I made mistake :( . Minister pics were too small... They are only 48 px, not 50 px high. I am really sorry :(

There's new pics:

I have few questions about this mod.

1)For HoI2 or Doomsday, hope for hoi2, because I haven't DD!
2)Battle scenario or Grand Campaign?
3)Is this own mod, or in Byzantine/some other mod?

I can anyway do something, at least minister pics ;), and now I check their size!!

EDIT: and what nation is in Istanbul? Byzantine?

Thanks very much, Miikhali!
Tell you what, why not help me fully with this mod? Some more people would be great!
In response to your questions, this will be a Grand Campaign, because the situation in Turkey will change a lot of events in Europe- there will no longer be the buffer between the USSR and Southern Europe- the Soviets could find themselves fighting on a Caucasian front.
This mod is also entirely self-sufficient. I've already made a loading screen and a skin for Pontus- the mod isn't really Byzantine themed, just a preview of what would have happened if Kemalist Turkey's armies had been weaker.
Thanks for the offer of minister pics, but I've done all of them for Assyria and Pontus.
Cappadocia is a no-goer because it was never really at least independent for a while, like Pontus and to an extent Assyria were.
And yes, although I've got Doomsday, it'll probably work on HoI2 as I'm not including intelligence files and suchlike which aren't in HoI2 but are in Doomsday.
Oh, and Istanbul will be the capital of Greece, as part of the Greek Nationalist 'Great Idea'.
What I would like- if you could do them, however- are these propaganda posters:

Greece
http://wiki.phantis.com/images/thumb/a/a1/MegaliHellas.jpg/350px-MegaliHellas.jpg

Assyria
http://www.ancientreplicas.com/winged-bull-2-0.jpg

And if you can, any good Armenian or Kurdish propaganda posters you can find.
I'll be showing everyone the Pontine skin soon!

Have no reasons :D .
I can be 'in' this mod :), you must only tell what to do (but nothing translating!). :)

Here is your Assyrian propaganda

PS. Make signature, with text:

Anatolian Wars Mod
or something else! Little advertisement is only good :D

EDIT: Here's Greece Propaganda poster pic too.

I have not any idea, how make better looking propaganda poster of ur pic, so only made it Right Size... :(

Thanks :)
I've already written all the descriptions- it's mainly just getting everything organised which I'm finding quite difficult. Aside from that, I have no idea how to do a .eug file for this scenario! I'll work on it, though :)
One other thing- please could you see if you could do one of the grand campaign buttons for this mod, Miikhaili? I mean, one of the black and white ones you click on to start up a campaign. If possible, I'd like it to have this image in it (except, very small)
http://armenianhouse.org/bliss/turkey/turkey-map-small.jpg

I've now finished the Cappadocian, Assyrian, Pontine, and Armenian skins! :)

I have few ideas for this mod, and questions too...

In this picture, what is nation in provinces Elazig and Kayseri

And have u plans, which provinces are urban territory, Industrial capacity and armies of states? Buildings in Anatiolia? And where is capital of Kurdistan?

But about buildings: In Karabuk must be Naval Base, in Trebizond maybe too.. Almost all pontus provinces are coastal, so it is natural that they have navy.
And assyria maybe can have some forts in Batman...!?

And I think, that Kurdistan army have only Militia troops, but lots of them. Like Afghanistan: Sirsenk Militia, Bashur Militia, Karkuk Militia, etc..

EDIT: I have never tried making Battlescenario pic, but I can try... Hrr..

If I understand, what u mean (scenario-button) here are they:

Grayskale

In color

But I fear that Turkey looks bit... low...

And few things again to asc

Victory points? I think you must add some VP:s here.
And about Kurdistan, I have flag & shield by Mumia. Kingdom of Kurdistan:
kurdistanshieldnr6.png

kurdistanflagbu4.png

I think it is better than HoI ready flag for Kurdistan, but...

Can you send basic information of All countries?

Kingdom of Kurdistan? That'd be a pretty good idea :)
Yes, why not? Of course, we'll have to do minister pics, but that shouldn't be too much trouble.
Kurdistan's capital will be in Kirkuk, Assyria's in Mosul, Cappadocia's in Kayseri, Armenia's in Yerevan, Pontus's in Trebizond, and Greece in Istanbul ;)
The militia idea is good, but Kurdistan is Turkey's only proper ally in the scenario. There needs to be some balance of strength- I say we give Kurdistan loads and loads of militia, but Cappadocia, Assyria, and Pontus have one or two highly trained divisions- after all, they get huge financial funding from Greece and the Great Powers (France, UK ect) respectively.
In the screenshot, Kayseri and Elazig are Cappadocian.
I haven't thought that much about industrial capacity yet, but I'm thinking of increasing the amount of oil in Kurdistan and Assyria, the amount of Metal in Cappadocia, and more supplies in Pontus. That would make each nation have an economic power to fall back on.
A naval base in Karabuk would be great- Turkey would be able to do something about all the Greek supply boats going to Pontus, but I also think one would be good in Gaziantep. That would mean that if Assyria manage to get it, they'd get naval access to Greek supply boats and the Turkish Southern Coast.
I think before we start doing the Kingdom of Kurdistan, though, we should just finish off all the events and sort out military units etc.
What basic information about the nations did you want in particular?

What information?
Name (of course :)), capital, flag if you have picture, government type (paternal autocrat, conservative etc.)...

And I think, that Kurdistan have some claims on Persia, maybe Tabriz.. And are there events, what gives chances to Turkey to occupy all Anatolia, like "Dream of greater Turkey" something else. About Kurdistan ministers, there maybe can be Sherif Pasha[1]...

Oh yes, I've got the basic events for those ideologies written already- but not terretorial claims as of yet. Also, Kurdistan requires Mosul and several other provinces in order to be released, so I'll have to modify the revolt.txt file.
So, you're in favour of a Kurdish Kingdom? Shall we just modify the vanilla Kurdish files or shall we create an entirely new nation in the U03 slot?

Well, here's all the information you'll need:

Turkey
Social Conservative, ruled by Ismet Inonu and Kemal Ataturk
Capital: Ankara

Greece
Paternal Autocrat, ruled by Eleftherios Venizelos and Georgios II.
(The idea is that the monarchy in Greece never got overthrown since it led the nation to victory in the Anatolian Campaign)
Capital: Istanbul/Constantinople
Flag: Could be normal, could be the one used in the Byzantine mod?

Assyria
Paternal Autocrat
Ruled by HH Patriarch Eshai Shimun XIII and Naoum Faik
Capital: Mosul

Pontus
Paternal Autocrat
Ruled by HRH Eugen II and HH Germanos Karavaggelis
Capital: Trebizond

Cappadocia
I still have no idea who should rule these guys, but their capital is at Kayseri.

I'm in a bit of a rush at the moment, but I'll post all of the flags and other images soon. As fellow developer of this mod, Miikhaili, I'll of course send you all the necessary files so that we're both up to date on how the mod runs on our games.

Sorry to be troublesome again, but I have some more graphic requests:

I'm just finishing the Kurdish Skin tonight- I'll upload the entire skins pack for all the combatant nations some time soon- perhaps wednesday :)

Here we go:

I never have made event pics, so I think we must find other man to do them...

About Kurds, I don't know. But I think, modding Vanilla game is enough...

EDIT: If you mean military leader pic, that there is no white frame, here is picture:

Thanks very much :)
I've just finished the Kurdistan Skin! Maybe I'll be able to show you all the skins tomorrow. For now, I reckon we should discuss what units each nation should have.
I reckon Turkey should have (just a very rough estimate)
3 Divisions on Ankara,
1 Division on Afyonkarahisar
2 Divisions on Karabuk
2 Divisions on Gaziantep
2 Divisions on Konya
1 Division on Mersin

Greece:
2 Divisions on Constantinople
1 Division on Salonika
1 Division on Crete
1 Division on Patras
2 Divisions on Athens
2 Divisions on Agrinio (that area south of Albania?)
1 Division on Edessa
3 Divisions on Izmir
1 Division on Antalya

I'm not quite sure how many divisions Turkey should have. I mean, if Greece was militarily strong on its own anyway, it wouldn't have a need to back up Pontus.
Maybe we should deliberately make Greece weak so that it needs Cappadocia and Pontus?
Oh, also, I'm thinking of changing the AI so that Italy doesn't try and invade Greece. And the Soviets really shouldn't be friends with the Turks. If they are, it would ruin the whole campaign since all the interesting battles with Assyria, Armenia, and Kurdistan would just get swamped by the USSR.
Also, Persia should not have anything to do with the USSR.

About Kurdish militias, here is some ideas:

IN VAN
Van militia, 80 str
Orumiyeh militia, 60 str
Sirsenk militia, 60 str
Marayagah militia, 60 str
IN KIRKUK
Bashur militia, 60 str
Karkuk guard, 100 str
Kaye militia, 60 str
Mosul guard, 100 str
Irbil guard, 100 str
Bashiqah militia, 60 str
IN SAMARRA
Samarra guard, 100 str
Khurmatu militia, 60 str

All troops are militia, and there are Max_strenghts (maybe?)...

and maybe Van garrison, Kirkuk garrison and Samarra garrison.

Good idea :)
I've already done an awful lot more on this mod.
I've done loading screens, skins for Kurdistan, Armenia, Assyria, Pontus, and Cappadocia, more leader and minister pics for Cappadocia and Assyria, tech teams for Pontus, Assyria, and Cappadocia, and even more counters :)
The .inc files and the .eug files are all completed. I can play as all the new nations now, but whenever I try to load up the scenario proper, it just crashes. Any ideas?

Why plural eug. files?
Separate out your modding graphic from inc./eug/world_names and from leader/minister/tech.

Go back to vanilla and add in each catagory separately.

First add inc. country files/the one amended eug file/and make name changes in the world_names.

Load up and let play forward several months to a year.

Next, add leader/minister/tech to each new country.

Load up again and test out.

Last, do graphics, skins, flags etc.

Load up again and test out.

Sorry, my bad- I meant .eug file- there is only one. But many .inc files.
And I got all the flags, graphics, ministers etc working ages ago- if you liberate Assyria, for example, in, say a game in 1936 as France, you can save the game, reload it as Assyria, and it'll work.
But whenever I load up the scenario, it just crashes!
