TRP v0.90.2 has been released

TRP v0.90.2 has been released and can be downloaded off the TRP website

Download Link

Patch Notes

• Removed all Reichskommissariat events as these gave these provinces to Germany, with full IC and resources and no partisan risk.
• Denmark now gets occupied in 1 day after Germany DOW Norway
• Netherlands had their starting MP removed (3) and divisions put at 5 to 10% strength in 1936, this due to Netherlands having 16-20 full strength divisions by 1940.
• Demoralization of French army now also if Metz is occupied and fires in 1 day.
• Canada and UK fall of Paris now fires in 1 day
• Germany offers help and alliance to Japan event removed as this puts Germany and Japan in an alliance against USSR and the peace event did not function correctly. The peace event however, stayed. (this might cause a reference to a non existing event but I need to examine that event, no harm now)
• UK home guard event and Churchill becomes prime minister now function historically.
• If Vichy is annexed by GER, they loose their army.
• If Holland/Belgium surrenders they loose their army + most of their planes and navy. ( I don't think the -2 and -3 work but they don't cause a CTD)
• London has a level 10 airport.
• Dnepropetrovsk went from urban to forest
• Odessa went from plains to urban with picture
• Bucharest went from plains to urban with picture
• Russia now speeds up with infantry in 1943, these stops in 1944. There is time to defeat them in 1941/summer 42, after that even a human player is cooked! Slow retreat through Russia to the gates of Berlin in 1945!
• Albania, Netherlands, Belgium now get dissent for recalling man in the army.
• Fall of Bulgaria event removed and placed in NOE
• Created events for Fall of Rumania and Fall of Hungary.
• Changed the terrain of;
• Utrecht (from marsh to forest) Only slighly increased infra
• Rotterdam (from marsh to clear) Same as Utrecht, both ideas are from forum, took far too much time certainly for the AI to get into those provinces
• Sevastopol (from clear to mountain, read about it and it was really mountains this terrain, certainly not clear) Infra to 40.
• Edited out the events for Finland surrenders as these events actually existed THREE times, (in FIN, in SOV and in NOE) now only one in the NOE.txt and completely reworked to fire, go to peace with allies and SOV and DOW Germany a bit later, all works, quite a lot of work, but great to see now, very historical. I've left notes in all edited out events.
• Forts in Moscow/Leningrad and Stalingrad now removed if occupied
• New events for Sevastopol, German big guns can be deployed for a 500 supply cost, or can be left for a dissent hit. Sevastopol goes to 10 land fort when surrounding areas are occupied. Guns remove 8. Works and is fun!
• Soviet AI has had their MP via mobilization drastically cut so they can never outgrow 250-300 infantry. All very well balanced now after many tests.
• Moscow mobilizes has had another 5 infantry removed.
• Leningrad mobilizes now only gives garrisons
• Corrected an error in the Leningrad supplied events.
• Changed and corrected the Axis minor events for surrender. They now work and have been placed in their own country files.
• Removed some free divisions for Sevastopol
• Created an event for Norway, GER AI and NOR AI only, to drastically lower GDE when >65% of country is occupied. (German AI sometimes gets stuck in front of Narvik)
• Created a flavor event for Germany climbing mount Elbrus in Caucasus.
• Afrika korps event re-written, now takes high amount of resources, calculated by days X cost X resources and toned down, also now get's send as soon as only 1 province in Italian NA is lost.
• Iraq sometimes DOW USSR in 1939 when USSR is at war with allies and Iraq doesn't join the allies, added to event to make peace with Iraq as well, otherwise USSR at war with Iraq (CGD).
• Lowered Germany’s starting Steel layout by 60
• Lowered Austria’s starting Steel layout by 23
• Redid the Armor Concentration event completely
• If the USA is not at war by 1942 but others are the USA will have his land units builds turned on
• AI Tech research updated for new tech trees
• Build changes to Destroyers, Submarines, Battlecruiers and CAGs
• Tech tree fixes
• Liege changed from Urban to Forest
• Brussels changed from Urban to Clear
• Dunkerque has a port (size 0)
• Caen has a port (size 0)
• Secret Weapons tech tree updated
• Various AI fixes and tweaks to improve performance
• OOBs updated with new techs

Just to clarify...

It looks like this is for DD 1.3a, and not Armageddon, correct?

Yes

Great news anyway, great job!
Are you planning to do something about stockpiling resources, btw? It's pretty silly to see the UK have two-three years worth of oil and rares piled up in London when the war begins...

Really stupid question... Shall I install 0.9 > 0.91 > 0.92 or or just 0.9 > 0.92?

I really hope there will be a patch for armageddon because I belive you could do wonders with the new feauters in ARM!

That I love! Finally there will be some bitter (correct word? "hard", "intense"") fighting for the motherland!

How did you make what no one else could do? (Well, perhaps DAIM the first couple of tries)

Great!

Well I cant guarantee that hehe Hendriks wrote that down and Sgt Muck as well. Not sure what they did if I had to guess increased infantry production drastically.

I haven't played too many mods at all for HoI II or Doomsday, aside from acquainting myself with HSR and playing 1914. I will try this after I try mod 33, the first one I'm actually going to play with a WWII time frame.

Oh right. does this use mod switch?

edit again

Is this version a full build?

I so far like this mod, though its only been a couple of months. One question, how come it's a bit "laggy" when playing? I've got it on extremely fast and it still lags a bit every few hours game time. The game has never done this to me (in this fashion atleast), so it shouldn't be a hardware problem.

There are a couple of European begining of war event ideas that came to my mind.

1) A DOW against Norway event choice for England at the same time as the Altmark incident similar to Germany's. This would of course be controversial, but Churchill has never hidden the fact that the UK intended to invade Norway one way or the other, more or less as soon as the Winter War started. Preperations for the Norwegain intervention were underway way before Altmark,a nd the German invasion. This because in 1939, the British were considering the possibility of trying to cut off Germany's Iron ore supply in Sweden, through direct intervention and also potentially aiding the Finns against the Soviets.

One has to remember that after after M/R and the division of Poland by the USSR and Germany it was still not clear how the powers were going to line up.

2) A similar event for Belgium. Thus allowing for a potential allied thrust through Belgium while Germany is focussed on Poland. I believe this idea was also discussed, and there was much pre-war concern about Belgiums alliegiance to the Allied cause prior to the war, should war break out.

In any case both events would just get around the the normal billigerence levels which stop democracies from declaring war, and Britain and France would take a good dissent hit for choosing these options.

If there is anything that shows that the Allies were not above invading neutral countries during the war, it is the joint Soviet and British invasion of Persia in 1940.

So this series of mods and patches builds from DD1.2, and not DD 1.3a, so you have to unistall DD1.3a, and then go up from there, DD1.2 >>> TRP 9.0 >>> TRP 9.02 (patch) is that right?

See I have DD 1.3a and Armageddon installed, and would really like to try this our because I am really interested in what you are doing, but would like to keep those versions available. If it builds from DD 1.2, then I guess I have to wipe it all out; install DD 1.2, copy that to a folder and patch that to DD 1.3a; copy DD 1.3a, put that in another folder, install Armageddon over that; patch that with Arm 1.0a, (uninstall Microsoft office for extra disk space ) ; then make another copy of DD 1.2 and install TRP 9.0 over that and then patch it to TRP 9.02.

Is that a good summmary? Or is there a way around that?

TRP 0.90.2 is for DD 1.3a

In any case you must uninstall Armageddon, or wait for the next version of TRP 0.91 (that will be for DD-ARM)

The .90.2 instructions on the TRP site say specifically that TRP .90.2 needs TRP .90 and TRP .90 is for DD 1.2, not DD 1.3a, so it has to be installed over DD 1.2.

I am a little confused here because .90 rings in at 122 Thousand K/Byts, (program sized) while .90.2 is a mere 4 thousand (patch sized, and it does not have a batch file.) So I don't see how you could install it over 1.3a.

I must not be thinking this through clearly.

Also, I shouldn't have to deinstall Armageddon, It has its own folder indpendent of 1.3a. I have both on the same machine, plus another mod. What I do not have is a Vanilla edition of DD 1.2 on the machine anywhere, which means (I think) that I will have unistall it all, and go back to 1.2 and patch up variously.

Not a big deal, a couple of hours at the most, but I just want a confirmation of this.
