Westernisation is a way to Convert Religion?

I can't post in Modification subforum? so I put it here.

Orthodox religion couldn't be converted to catholic in a game. I think the way must be, but it couldn't be easy. So I made this event.

################################################## #######
# Orthodox to Catholic religion change #
################################################## #######

# Orthodox to Catholic
province_event = {

id = 4004

trigger = {
religion = orthodox
has_country_modifier = western_influences
owner = {
any_neighbor_country = {
religion = catholic
relation = { who = THIS value = 100 }
}
}
}

mean_time_to_happen = {
months = 120 # because WI have duration 200 months

modifier = {
factor = 0.5
owner = {
NOT = { culture_group = THIS }
}
}
modifier = {
factor = 1.5
owner = {
culture_group = THIS
}
}
}

title = "EVTNAME4004" #Western Culture
desc = "EVTDESC4004"

option = {
name = "EVTOPTA4004" # Join the Latin world
ai_chance = { factor = 30 }
religion = catholic
owner = {
stability = -1
}
}
option = {
name = "EVTOPTB4004" # Honor the beliefs of our ancestors
ai_chance = { factor = 70 }
}
}

################################################## #######

So, If you have a western influences, which means, that you already have latin techology group, you can convert your religion to catholic. I think it a fair deal.

What do you think?

Why? Are there many historical examples of such, other than being a Polish vassal?

It's an element of alternative history.

You must be thinking about another game... since when did EUIII have anything to do with history?
