help modding ministers

hey friends, i am toying around with a mod for "republican spain" (possible AAR to follow) and i am messing around with the minister files, just trying a few things out, and i have pretty much changed the whole lineup. the problem is that even though i have deleted the old Head of States and Head of Governments, or in some cases just changed their traits, the old ones, with their corresponding traits are showing up, as if i didn't actually spend 10 minutes changing things.

it doesn't give any error messages at all, and it is almost like it is reading SPR's leaderfiles from somewhere else than the folder DB/ministers/ministers_spr

aargh! does anyone know what i could be doing wrong and what i have to do to correct this? here is the modded sections in question, with the new files, in case anyone wants a looksee. thanks!

forget it guys, i am such an idiot, i know what went wrong. instead of moving the original file to my "backups" folder, what i did instead was renamed it to "ministers_SPRBACKUP" and i guess it was still able to read that file. once i moved it, the ministers that i edited now appear.
