Help me to start play: patch, maps...

Sorry my english.

I read english slow (and there is so many files to download!), so please help me to find what i need to start play EU2 again.

I would like to play game like you play. What patches i need? Is there new maps? What more should i download?

download 1.09 patch and if you want to play with AGCEEP the last patch available is 1.50

For new maps you can go for MyMap or WATK (depending on which one you like more).

No. MyMAP is a completely new mod and a new map. It has a lot more land provs. The AGCEEP map is the same except for some corridor between two provs that has been altered. In affect it's 100% the same map. They've been saying about a year now that a new map is coming (and they're working on it), but I doubt it's coming at all with EU3 coming in January.

AGCEEP just means a lot of new (historical) events have been added to the same vanilla map. If you want to play vanilla, definately go for AGCEEP. I just go for the deluxe one since it has everything in one package. Except for the new map that's (never) gonna come .

It's best (VERY IMPORTANT) if you have several EU2 installs. One for Vanilla, 1 for vanilla AGCEEP, 1 for WATK, 1 for MyMAP, etc... whatever you wanna do. WATK is fun and the map shows the world nicely but it lacks in events, AI is rather (a lot ) weak and underperforms a lot and not a lot of detail has been put in economics of provs (outside Europe). It's basically the standard in MultiPlayer.

MyMAP is a totally new map (and the only real mod) and it comes with an early version of AGCEEP. It's my favorite and the AI doesn't do really bad (apart for some colonizing probs ).

Just try them and see what you like best. Just remember to keep a clean EU2 version in another directory to avoid having to install the game again in case of probs with a mod. That way it's just easy "copy and past" story. Have fun .

All you NEED to play is EU2 plus a recent patch such as 1.09. You may WANT some user modifications such as AGCEEP or MyMap. Ask over in the User Mods forum for more advice on those.
