The Lions of Limburgia - a Limburgian AAR!

I hereby announce that I have taken control of the government of the state of Limburgia for the sake of national security. General Klijnkkelkloonk has lead our country well but looks to be lacking the decisiveness required to take control of the powers of France, Germany and the USSR. Military troops loyal to me are marching into Maastricht, the capital of our great nation. As well, intelligence officers under Meynolds are taking suspects of resistance into the custody of the Intelligence service. A state of Marital Law is declared until all suspected rebellious elements have been taken care of. Those who follow me will be rewarded, and those who oppose me shall suffer the consequences. All normal democratic procedures shall be restored once our control is complete.

Huh, I was woundering when someone would do this, by the way, my loyalty lies with the country, no matter who rules (as long as theg gov type is not Fascist, National Scocialist, Leninist, or stalinist).

Yes Prime Minister, however the former Head of State General Klijnkkelkloonk AKA "Judas" has proved most elusive, and several other ministers have warrants on their heads. Resistance is futile.

*Limburgian News Alert*

General Demoking has secured the Army for the forces of progress and democracy. The last rebelling units within the army have been crushed and it appears everything has gone well. The few leaders not totally supportive of the regime have not resisted for fear of civil war wrecking our great nation. A few key members of the cabinet have not been heard from but it appears that they are not resisting us. General Klijnkkelkloonk's mansion has been searched but he has not been found. If you are listening to this General Klijnkkelkloonk, let it be known that you will not be hurt if you turn yourself in but you will simply retire to a large estate with your well-being and income guaranteed by my government. If you resist, I cannot guarantee your safety...

Ah! Finally I'm through with the paperwork! Even that last form's ODWAHBL/1936/001-4532 (Official Declaration of War and Hostilities by Limburgia) Appendix A which the ugly secretary in the Ministry of War kept sending back to me as "not correctly filled!"
I usually don't do this myself so I hope you understand how hard it is. My Adjutant catched a cheap flight to Batavia and left me all alone to fight this mess... damn him. It's so hard to find loyal hard-working people these days... oh well.

The plan has now been approved by the Chiefs of Staff and the Ministry of War and I'm happy to inform you that our declaration of war is only days away. It was also decided that we skip Ireland and concentrate on our true agenda. We're going with the "Plan B", that is the full scale invasion set in northern Spain. Composition of the Corps and their commanders are posted in this bulletin board, all Generals should inspect their troops and make sure they're ready for the invasion to come. We are looking at 9 Corps and this will be the final composition.

What!? So THAT'S why my bloody adjutant left me! So it was a plot all along to keep me busy with the papers! But why, why? I was only thinking what was best for our beloved Fatherland! Just why... :eek: :(

All Generals still loyal to me, I humbly request you to lay down your arms and not resist the newly formed regime. We are proud Limburgians and we shall not shed the blood of our fellow countrymen! For centuries we have suffered in the hands of the French, Spaniards, Romans, Prussians... and a bunch of other nations, but anyway, we have never suffered in the hands of fellow Limburgians and let this day not change our glorious heritage! Even though for some of you this may be the darkest hour of your lives, do not fall into despair. Limburgia is still in the hands of Limburgians and as long as I live, I will defend the independence and integrity of Limburgia with my bare hands if necessary!
As the father of the independent Limburgia the time has come for me to step to the sidelines and watch how the proud Limburgian people fulfill their own destiny. I can only hope this bloodless coup will lead us forward in our path. I have done what I can, for now.

What comes to being a General in the Limburgian Army, I feel that I must do what is best for our nation and join the staff. However it is doubtful that I'm given a command of an army group in the light of the recent events but I shall remain here, giving tactical and strategic advice when needed. I will also, if given the position, do all I can to bring more able men to the Limburgian Army ranks.

To be distributed to the Chiefs of Staff, members of the cabinet and to all still defiant military commanders

I'm sorry General but, I never tried to make the paperwork bad, it must have been your bad luck ;);). You may still be a general in our army if you swear an oath of loyalty to our new regime.

Uhh, I just wish to clear up what seems to be a misunderstanding, I have nothing to do with the coup, I just said that I will support the government after the coup, no matter what the results, in other words, I'm neutral in this.

Thought so, also, Jusas has surrendered peacefully and sent me the save-game although he still needs to send me the minister file and the revolt.txt. You guys, if we are losing or I am doing something stupid and losing a frivolous war then you should start a coup.



Also, we are the first AAR ever to have a coup in our ranks I think so we should think of ourselves specially :D. Maybe we could be featured in the AARland advocate.
