The Horn of Africa MOD packet has been updated to v2.1

The file is here, the file name is "Horn of Africa Mod.rar".

* New Ethiopian background skin.

* Horn of Africa Event Packet
- Restore the Lion of Judah. A historic event that will restore Haile Selassie to the throne of Ethiopia under a puppet government. This event can be triggered by the British or the French. Alternative history choices can also release Eritrea as well as Ethiopia, or can refuse to restore Haile Selassie to the throne.

- Requisition Industry. A historic event that will remove IC from Ethiopia (and Eritrea if it exists) and place it in British land. Alternative history choice to not requisition industry.

- Events come with descriptions and event images.

Modders note: Event ID's used are 6550-6560 for the tech teams, 442500-442750 for everything else. Please ensure that these are unique in relation to any modifications that you have previously done.


-Install Instructions

PLEASE BACK UP YOUR FILES. The files have been created to minimize the chance that your files will be corrupted, but if you don't know what you're doing I suggest that you be extremely careful.

1) Open the Hord of Africa Mod.rar file.

2) Extract the files to "C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron 2" or the equivalent on your computer. The files should unpack to the correct locations. Note that the following files will NOT be overwritten:

revolt.txt
world_names.csv
scenario_text.csv
event_text.csv

3) In your Hearts of Iron 2 directory. Open the following file:

Code to edit in config folder.txt

and follow the instructions.

4) In your Hearts of Iron 2 directory. Open the following:

Code to edit in db folder.txt

and follow the instructions.

5) You should be done! Enjoy! The event triggers can most easily be seen by playing as Britain in the 1941 scenario.

This mod has only been tested on v1.03b vanilla HoI2.
