Aussie DD Sunday game starting 4th June

Sundays 7-11pm.

Maximum 8 countries.

Play will continue if 6 Major powers are present: UK, USA, Russia, Japan,
Italy & Germany.

Same house rules as other DD games.

Extra players may elect to coop majors: UK, USA, Germany & Japan.

Guidelines for USA entry:

Base USA war entry is 1 january 1942.

1/Each seperate Axis DOW/Alliance with the following countries: Turkey, Spain,Tibet, Persia brings forward USA entry by 6 months eg and attack on Spain would allow USA to join the war 1 July 1941(may not DOW Japan unless Tibet was the country attacked). If Turkey and Persia are DOW/brought in to alliance USA may enter 1st January 1941.

2/The reverse is also true: Should the UK ally with anyone of the above countries USA war entry is put back 6 months.

3/However Japan may DOW USA anytime from start of 1941 & USA may enter immediately should Japan DOW on the UK. Saying this any events which fire due to a successful Sealion may be honoured.

4/Should Gibralter be captured the USA may send unlimited Destroyers and CVL ships to the UK. This in adddition to the 6 months reduction for Spanish attack. This is needed for the extra length of UK convoys.

5/Also should Russia not be attacked by 1st June 1942 the USA may enter the European war at anytime.This is needed so we do not end up with a facical UK vs German/Italy for years on end because of some deal made with the Russians.

6/The USA is not required to join...but they may.

7/If Russia decides to enter the war over a Sweden or Turkey attack the 6 month reduction for USA entry does not apply.

Italian Entry is as per previous agreement...Paris needs to be captured no CW troops in the Med(SA,NZ & and Australia must remain in their home provinces until Italy is in the war) and only after March 1940 regardless if Paris is captured earlier. The only CW puppets allowed in the Med prior to war with Italy are Oman, Yemen and Iraq.

Japan and Russia may not war with each other until 1st Jan 1943. USSR must either be at war with Germany or Germany must already have been defeated before USSR can dow Japan. Further extensions can be agreed between the 2 countries. Both countries must garrision the border with at least 1 regular division(not militia) in each common border and puppets.

No major war until Danzig.

These guidelines can be discussed and reviewed at anytime due to events around the world. They are not rules as such but guidelines required for a semi historical and partly balanced game.

I have it on good authority that the 1.2 patch is imminent so I guess we use that for this game and have a 2nd install with 1.1 for the other games?

I would like to co-op Germany with some one if there is another player.

If the patch is released, we should be able to update to 1.2 with no problems. 1.1 saves still work on higher versions just any new features or tweaks are not present until you start a new game.

As for nations:
1st Choice: Cooping UK
2nd Choice: Cooping Japan
3rd Choice: Cooping/by myself as USA or by myself as Canada.
So with that number of options I'm bound to fit in somewhere.

Well if most poeple have DD we could kick it off this Sunday, im sure we will only get about 6 months. As long as we have co-ops if some people cant make it 1 sunday the game can still go on, which should help keep progress going as its only 1 night per week.

Joel is your set to play germany with me, ill PM you with some plans, so we begin to plot the downfall of the Allies.

Well with you 2 meatheads as Germany I think a strong UK player is required(maybe Nolan and JH coop)

I vote for UK or USA. USA would give me 1 each of the Major Allied powers in the 3 games we will have going.

Sounds good. The only real question we need to work out with us 2 as Germany though is - do we annex or puppet all the allies and commies by 39 or 40?

We will Annex Russia, those lands need to be populated by German. The UK & USA should be puppeted.

BB the problem we have is this sunday game will be either 6 nations or 8 at most with 2 minors. If most players want to co-op though we may only have the 6 major nations playing and no minors. So it might be best to pick a major and just co-op if thats what happens. We are trying to avoid the minors now to keep the game more balanced.

Anyways, count me in. I dont really care what nation i go. Wouldn't mind looking after the American or British economies but the G is not fussy

I sort of would prefer to be USA seeing as the other game we started with me as USA and major as UK never got to start. let alone finish
