Vichy.. ermm Vicky - class

Post here wha you said once when you outsmarted your teacher on the Vicky time period.

There was one person who said their teacher said the turning point of WWII was at Leningrad! And then the kid said Stalingrad (some bad teacher!). But anyway go ahead, i'm learning about victorians now because the Indus Civilisation sucks

Well I was never in a position to outsmart my history teacher(s) on the Victorian period, mainly because I was never really too educated on the period.

However with regard to Leningrad and it's name changes (Petrograd -> Leningrad -> Saint Petersburg) and with regard to Stalingrad (Volgograd -> Stalingrad and back again) I was able to tell my teacher something she didnt already know.

I was chocked to find that one of the teachers of my school (who is well-known for his knowledge if history) didn´t know of the Zimmermann-telegram.

Well, it's not so much that I outsmart my history teacher, as that he is openly communist, and there are endless arguments (err, "class discussions") on the merits of Lenin.

Sadly, I haven't been able to outsmart my teacher because I only got Vicky this year and we haven't reached the Vicky time period. But it should help me with the mock trials for the time period as I'm taking AP World History this year.

I miss highschool. My Military History teacher absolutely hated me, I was on par with him in many things and beyond him in others. I'm going to miss history classes, I jsut finished my senior thesis for college on it and got an A. Go me! History majors of the world unite!
