AI Cheats?
I've noticed that enemy AI knows too well about my unit and fleet locations, AI knows when and where are my troop transport fleets going (usually i put about 12 TP, 4-8 DD, 2-6 CL and 1-4 CA ships in my transport fleet) and then boom! all my ships and transported units are dead and im really pissed. AI also seems to know where are my empty beaches and weakest spot in lines (i always keep my encryption at historical time).
Second:In my Japan game i had conquered india and all allies islands near my main island (Not American, they havent joined allies yet) but still i keep seeing british carrier fleets in my main waters, they got no bases nearby (unless they can use american or philippine bases). Thats also very annoying that British are sending all their navys against me and leaves their home waters for Germans. So is this cheating or is this just my imagination? Is there any other known cheats that AI use? |

As to your first claim. No, AI does not cheat on intelligence. But it can spot roughly the fleet composition (as can you btw). It's always a bad idea to send in a large invasion fleet without naval backup. Use a separate main striking force to clear the sea zone of the invasion beach and only then send in the transports.
![]() As to the naval range. Yes, AI enjoys unlimited range on all of it's vessels. AI would, with the current state of AI technology, be too hamstrung without it. That does, sometimes, produce odd side effects like the one you refer to, but it's still better than a totally inept AI that does adhere to the naval ranges. Basically, it's a trade off between two undesirable things, of which the unlimited range is the lesser bad thing.

log at the uncovered map via nofog-cheat and you will see, that for example uk has nearly in every secound sea province a squadron of ships.
so its clear that you will meet them very fast. |
