[SEMI-PUBLIC] Term 9 General Assembly, Speaker election

In accordance with Article 17 of the Constitution, Members of the General Assembly are hereby invited to notify me of their intention to run for the office of Speaker; notification of candidacies must be submitted to me by September 25, 11:59 pm GMT [OOC: simply post here]. There can only be one Speaker candidate per party.

The following individuals have been elected to the General Assembly:

Jonathan Glasser (UP)
Jake Langley (UP)
Timothy Wellesford (UP)
Nicolae Sova (UP)
Michael Marine (UP)
HJ Tulp (UP)
Kazimierz Reczynski (UEF)
Charles Johnston (ESA)

Hawkton Tilly and Pierre Talbott have elected to resign their position as GA in light of their recent appointment to the cabinet. The Unity Party has selected Mr. Marine and Mr. Tulp as their replacements.

Acting Speaker, I understand that as I am the only candidate for the position for Speaker any voting is unecessary, but I would like to see my position being made official. I am very eager to get this GA term going.
