I say draw up new borders first and then go fully attack the Soviets. Let your allies earn extra IC and manpower.

That is the basic plan while I do a fighting retreat against the red army.

I see. Maybe Hapsburgia should also be a puppet with cores all over Western Russia to further help against the Red Bear, even if puppet status is temporary.

Thanks Duce. Don't we have enough on our plate?

Russian aircraft have been harassing Axis troops. The Regia Aeronautica begins to halt their attacks.

Eupen had been undefended. A single militia division is hardly a speed bump.

The initial attack against Brussels begins. Continental Belgian resistance will soon end.

Bulgaria finally capitulates. These forces will be sent to Greece.

Due to game mechanics, I cannot DOW the Netherlands or Luxembourg. As an aggressive fascist nation, I should be able to. I thought Martin fixed that.

I finally reach the point where I can DOW Luxembourg. France will soon have a new province.

1338300200-ScreenSave1.jpg

Retreating Greeks make a pocket. LMAO. My own fault for not leaving a division to stand security, I just did not think they were retreating in that direction.

1338300201-ScreenSave2.jpg

The front lines have almost reached my main defensive points. We will continue a fighting retreat until primary defensive lines are reached. Then we will hold until the rest of Europe has been brought into the Axis.

1338300201-ScreenSave3.jpg

French Cruisers intercept a Greek TP fleet.

1338300198-ScreenSave4.jpg

This is a stalling attack. The Soviets entered a province with too few troops and I will punish them for it until I am ready to take and hold that province.

1338300201-ScreenSave5.jpg

Luxembourg "joins the Axis"

1338300202-ScreenSave6.jpg

I hate slow marching, thus I use my naval superiority to my advantage whenever possible.

1338300202-ScreenSave7.jpg

Our turn to close a pocket. This one will have a real effect though.

1338300204-ScreenSave8.jpg

Here we create a second pocket.

I remember when "no retreat possible was a negative modifier. :(

1338300207-ScreenSave14.jpg

I guess the soviets want to Spanish to leave their cas alone :)

1338300207-ScreenSave15.jpg

The UK has decided to keep Crete for herself. Italy can have mainland Greece and the tech teams though.

1338300207-ScreenSave16.jpg

Gotta love that surprise bonus.

1338300206-ScreenSave17.jpg

Apparently soviet interceptors are more technologically advanced than Italian ones.

1338300208-ScreenSave18.jpg

So, Australia wants to be a PITA? I can't do much about that now, BUT....

Let's see what the future holds. LMAO

I have to demand territory because it is the fastest way to reduce relations. I use global manipulation to give them belligerence. One more demand territory, then the French can move in.

1338303087-ScreenSave21.jpg

I guess the soviets built a lot of cas. That's fine, I built a lot of int. :ninja:

1338303087-ScreenSave22.jpg

Italy annexed Greece. They give me Sitra later which gives me all of Crete.

I figured I would give you a basic status update of how the various belligerents stand. UK has more ic than the USSR, but my manpower is below 400. Aside from the units already in the queue, I will build no more until my mp gets over 500. The mp I have now will be for reinforcements.

One question I want so feedback on. Should I make a bitter peace event?

The allied occupation zone will eventually be edited and become "Hapsburgia".

Do it doc, do it. You need a Central European superstate on your side.

Terrifying progress. The Allies are practically out of the game; only American intervention can save them now! That manpower situation is worrying though given you've got the Russian bear, and I don't like how the Japanese were getting their line staved in in the east.

I just finished my masters degree. I am now on vacation. When I get back, I will see about modding the bitter peace for England.

I believe PITA is 'Pain in the arse / ass', and LMAO is 'Laugh my arse / ass off'.
Correct on both.
I am back from vacation, but I have yet to get a working BP event. I would need at least 1000 manpower to try and take all of the USSR, and only have ~400. Taking MC of the Axis divisions helps, but the ai keeps stopping them from attacking if it does not think it can win. The ai does not understand the use of pinning attacks while performing encirclements for example. If I had 1000 mp instead of 400, I would just build enough units to handle all attack phases myself and use my allies for beach security and the like.

Just a reminder. The AARland Choice AwAARds 2012 (Round 2) are up. Pick an aar and vote for your favorite. There are allot of good authors out there who work really hard. Let's give them some recognition. Thanks.

Sorry guys, but I cannot get the BP to work for the UK. Without that, I would need a few dozen extra units to take on the bear since I cannot trust the ai to remain in combat when I tell them to. UK lacks the manpower to build those units.

Can you force a peace settlement through the console?

Can you force a peace settlement through the console?
Sure, but I would want to set some "victory conditions" that would have to be achieved before I forced that peace with "accept all". Then I guess I could release my Hapsburgia puppet with cores on the land gained from that. What would you guys think of that? Having to take Moscow, Leningrad, Baku, Arkhangelsk, Stalingrad and Vladivostok; then consoling in a peace? Would that be acceptable?

Sounds good to me.
