Speaking as BBB.
Easy up. It is true that the monopolists sometimes seem to be going a little far. The big companies are just as full of union workers as the others. They are just as happy/unhappy as anyone else's workers.
The actions of the companies are limited to what I say and approve. At the moment, in TTL America, the monopolies are at their most powerful. This is causing a backlash, as I hope to present in the election update. For now, Orleans and the other Titans are finding themselves increasingly alone in their defense of their monopolies, as the reality of how much control they have pisses off everyone not getting a share of the profits. It's why they've set out to get themselves "the best government money can buy". They want to keep what they have, and if a monopolist says something, it should be interpreted as only half-reliable info from someone trying to make himself seem better than he is. If an anti-trust person says something, it is slightly closer to the truth, but still has a lot of demonization in it.
Now that I've seen Spitfire's post: Excellent. Just what I was thinking. The Titan's are rallying to fight in court. They know there will be anti-trust laws ahead. They just want to fight them off as well as possible.
Having noticed Mikeboy's new post: Goody. More understanding. Remember, these claims are claims.
