I vote for Samuel Lee Davis! The confederacy will live in the hearts of our people, and in the grace of our future president Lee!

((Thou must bold thine vote, my young apprentice :p))

FEC: Aye

I'm scared of this support for Projekt, not because he's a Southern conservative, but because all that support seems to be based on the Confederacy. :ninja:

Also, welcome Mr. Collins. Perhaps you would like to vote in your party primary. :)

Welcome to you too, Mr. Carlsson.

((Do I Smell the hsitorical Tilden or Blood 1976 election?))

((I just realized I'm the oldest candidate at 51.))

((Still have you all beat...))

This Lost Cause nonsense concerns me greatly, so I endorse (if I can, being an ACP-leaning independent) Mr. Garrett's run for president!

((BBB, thanks for the clarification on VPs!))

I am glad to see my bill already has strong support, and I hope that some of those voting for my bill will consider supporting my candidacy as the ACP nominee for President!

Federal Election Commission: Aye. Deterring corrupt practices and rumor led disruptions is a good step towards maintaining fair and free elections.

((By the way, did my Philippine negotiations go through, BBB, or should I introduce that formally as a bill?))

I feel sorry for the nation; this current gang of candidates is... not particularly reassuring. Socialists, jingoists, and Southern radicals... Garrett is the only sensible candidate at this point...

The last time we had such a Southern candidate, was back during the Southern Nationalist Party; of course, that was a bit before all of you were alive or aware of politics, but I remember!

((By the way, did my Philippine negotiations go through, BBB, or should I introduce that formally as a bill?))

The Philippine negotiations have technically gone nowhere, but US troops and ships continue to be stationed all over the islands in the aftermath of the Spanish-American War.

My point exactly: once we go overseas, we never leave! Non-interventionism is the way to go!

Mr Jarvis is right, we must focus on defending the moral principles of our kinsmen in our nation before standing up for other individuals abroad. The United States are no "world policeman" and do not have a duty to liberate these men from european oppression. We must reinforce our nation from the inside before foreigners, socialists and liberals break it apart. Then we can go around saving others.

Many people are suffering in the southern states, under economic decline in these areas.

Non-interventionism will only lead towards distrust between ourselves and the peoples of the nations around the world.
Exactly what economic decline is there Mr Carlsson? They past decades have shown nothing but growth for all areas of the nation, not just some and for the few.

I'm sorry but I had assumed that a predominantly agrarian area would have an economic decline with a sudden loss of manpower.

But Mr. Khur, I thought you were a pacifist!

I believe all peoples should be able to determine their own fates through their own governing bodies as well. I do not condone going to war for it, but it is something that must be done. But before anyone accuses me of siding with the separatists, I consider the Americans living in the southern states of the United States to be of the same blood and people as those of the north and west.

And what loss Mr Carlsson? Aside from the casualties among the civilian population thanks to the actions of Williams, there has been no massive loss of people living within the south.

((None of the updates have given even the slightest hint of the OTL Massive Migration north of African-Americans, so we can not go and say they did move north, especially seeing as how Williams and President Jamous worked hard to keep them there with new factory jobs and share cropping.))

My vote goes to Garett. This Lost Cause foolishness, coupled with the useless and entirely counter-productive idea of departments for various regions of the country has soured me away from Davis.

My vote goes to Samuel Lee Davis!

As for the FEC, I vote Yay

We can not allow the market to continue to run rampant, in the end, the same will happen as has happened before, a massive boom inevitably results in an equally massive and destructive bust. We must act to prevent this. The growth of speculation, and of fictional growth, that is the finance sector, is unsustainable as it is not rooted in the real economy, that is, the productive forces of industry. If we merely let the bankers and industrialists run wild, we will be left holding the bag for the most catastrophic man-made disaster in the history of our country! Act now to save the economy! Act now to save our prosperity! Vote Joe Hayden!
