Cuba Libre in a cold world - An NWO2 AAR
The downward spiral of ruthless Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista began on the 26th July of 1953 when the first organized anti-Batista attack was made. After intensive planning, the attack was put in operation and in the lead were the two youngest Castro brothers Fidel and Raúl. 160 lower class rebels were gathered and trained, but sources claim that between 1,000 and 1,200 men were trained during the course of the operation's planning that began two years earlier, in 1951.

On the 25th of July 1953, the rebels gathered at a nearby farm to set their objectives. They had to secure the Moncada Barracks in Santiago, south-eastern Cuba, and also get ahold of weaponry and the military communication equipment. The plan was to spread the weapons throughout the whole municipal area to have supplies for the struggle.
4:45AM the 25th of July the men left the farm towards the barracks of Moncada, and it was a stragetically chosen date due to the fact that the public fiesta events were hold during this period.
6:00AM the 26th of July the attack was carried out but it turned out to be a failure. 400 soldiers were in the barracks ready to fight against the 135 rebels. 19 government soldiers were killed while 30 got wounded, 61 rebels got killed and 51 got captured. The rebels had suffered a major defeat and most of them including the Castro brothers got either imprisoned or killed in action.
