Prussia has a tendency of grabbing Moravia (probably because it's the easiest one to get for the lowest price).

Here's a screenshot of my latest game. Nothing fancy, managed to subdue the CSA, but unfortunately didn't manage to get Cuba before 1851.
And Germany formed!

Also, the UK managed to annex Burma in three wars: first Rangoon (which they do in all my games), then against China (which they won!) for northern Burma and then annexing the heart.

I also notice Ethiopia is always getting its ass kicked by Egypt, or is that just me?

And oh yea, @lama: it isn't so strange Portugal's the only nation to be busy in Africa; it's practically the only nation solely focused on expanding its empire in Africa at the start of the game, and Oman is quite an easy nation to grab its African possessions from. And the scramble for Africa of course didn't really begin until the 1880s.

As seen in the AAR's ... if a 1850's Japan can attack and annex the entire country of China ...and still somehow hold a fortune of cash in the bank I don't think the Chinese are too powerful.

and thats at the hands of somone who barely understands the game yet.

the automatic factory subsidies are really hammering my finances as you can see, no idea if you can turn them off or not. The idiot AI keeps building canned food and clothing factories which fail every time there built or barely make profit.

Socialism is starting to build up in the upper house, currently at 9% with all others falling

Nothing fancy, only got Cuba and built the Panama Canal. Was just about to get the british Antilles when the game stopped.

Hmmmmm, I was mainly referring to it's weakness seen at the hands of anyone (the player) wanting to simply annex China on a whim. Seems it's a double edged problem in that as the player it's reversed. Although ... judging by the progress made in just 15 years of the USA in the Demo this is becoming less and less surprising. I shudder to think what a player will be able to do with France. In 25 years I can see the French vacationing in Moscow, London, Constantinople, and working on the Paris - Beijing railroad.

From what I can see, I think the AI just needs to be better, so that you can't conquer just about "anything" in just 20 years or so.

Hell, the Ottomans were commies for a while, and Britain was threatened for a few years, too.

Mwahahaha! Behold! The Communist States of America!
Right now the Confederates are Communist and ranked 2nd, and our military is ranked 1st.
We have a score of 4,200 while the British have 2,200 in second.

And I do have Panama and China is in my SOI, so I make 1k every day. I also am constructing 30 tank brigades right now for WW1, since it is 1910.
Almost done taking out the East Coast. And Britain and France are at war right now.

Largest fleet.
Large guards divisions ready to march on revolting Austria. Large numbers of "death divisions" of irregulars from unaccepted or revolting cultures.
Plan to switch to state capitalism.
