I must agree. This concept of being placed in such a demeaning and insulting role is most egregious! To be placed in the same category as such narrowminded, superstitious peasants..

As all the historical figures begin to greet each other, the fabric of time moved before them.
Until they could send the "Too important to be missing" historical figures back to their respective time period, they would continue to travel through time.
For now, they arrived in a pre-historic earth, where mammals where scarce, and reptiles ruled the land.
This moment in time must have had great importance, because the machine only recognises timeline changing events as important enough to visit. Oh well, for now, the historical figures were trapped in the Yucatan Peninsula some 65 Million Years into the past...
