We are set to go then. With the excitement brought up by the new beta, many forumnites are really bussy. I really thank all the senators that find the time to vote so our Republic continues her quest for glory.
We are still at war with the Ottoman Empire, since not a single day has been played while we decided on the many important issues for the 1469 elections. I am indeed learning to control my desire to play. This is the equivalent to a Zen course.
Election 19-20 War on the Osmanlis (8 votes)
Thankfully, we should find an arrengement with Mehmet suitable to us (6/8 votes), although it could have been fun to fight to the death (probably ours
).
Therefore we won't need to disembark forces in Trabzon and maybe Ramazan and see if we can increase the warscore from their rearguard (5/7 votes)
We should request Macedonia and one or two more provinces to be determined, plus some money if possible, up to 29% warscore. Kosovo is the preferred one (8/8 votes), followed by Bulgaria (5/8 votes).
Coments: war will be over as soon we get Mehmet to be reasonable, not an easy task but easier than the conquest of Smyrna.
Election 20-21 The Albanian question (7 votes)
1. We must "defend" Albania from the Ottoman menace (5/7 votes)
2. Since their current government is so opposed to our help we should declare war to them. (4/5 votes)
3. After conquering Albania, we should vassalize her, and then we will spend big amounts of money (estimated at over 300D) and diplomats to make them our trusted friends, and we will ask them to join our alliance. (3/4 votes)
Comments: What we have decided to do with Albania will not affect the events of Cyprus. The chances of choosing an option by the AI do not depend on relationships. Any war with Cyprus is likely to end in a white peace after 3 years.
Election 22 International Policies (6 votes, 3 votes is cut-off)
1. Dear Friends: Naples (6/6), Tuscany (6/6), Knights (5/6), Cyprus (3/6)
2. Friends (with carry over): Albania (4/6), Austria (4/6), Savoy (3/6), France (3/6)
3. Adversaries (with carry over): Papal States (6/6), Tyrol (4/6), Aragon (3/6)
4. Enemies: Ottoman Empire (5/6), Genoa (3/6)
Peace for the next period was supported by 4/5 votes.
Comments: The Albanian election, being more specific, overrules this results only for that specific question.

Innovativeness. Important. 6
Mercantilism. Unimportant. 8
Offensiveness. Important. 6
Land. Important. 0
Quality. Important. 9
Serfdom. Unimportant. 1
Comments. The only problem was the Offensiveness. Two votes for the siege bonus, and two for the shock bonus, with two in between. Oh well. Countries also have disagreements that cost them dearly.
