Why can't the Habsburgs get the throne of Poland?

And I have an idea. How about making some nations in monachy if Germany invade America....

And I have an idea. How about making some nations in monachy if Germany invade America....

I think this idea is kind of silly, as the American nation is definied by being a republic. The Germans in this timeline like to create monarchies with German dukes/kings all over the place, but only in Europe over existing monarchic traditions. However, some kind of event for a German occupied Northern America would be nice. I just finished a game as Germany where the CSA won the civil war and conquered Canada, so I ended up controlling everything except the PSA. Couldn't release anything, and had to cheat quite a bit to cause a reasonable outcome.

First I had to intervene after the civil war, when the PSA controlled about half of the continental USA. I figured they didn't have claims on the area, but the CSA did, so I loaded as the CSA and acceptall demanded territory to simulate folding to an ultimatum in exchange for peace. Later I had to figure out what to do after annexing the CSA. I couldn't release the USA even if I changed myself to a democracy with the freedom cheat, but luckily the PSA soon decided to release a puppet USA. This country only received one province due to me controlling everything (even that was a PSA core, didn't know it was possible), but I redeployed my guys into Canada, loaded as the USA, and acceptall+demanded cores from both the PSA (annexing and removing puppet status) and Germany, getting rid of all that land I never wanted. This resulted in a united and free USA controlling only the continental USA+Alaska, which was weakened by a bunch of "heavy fighting in ___" events, and had very isolationist sliders.

I was only interested in crushing Syndicalism and restoring an isolationist USA that didn't intervene with my plans, so this was quite satisfactory for me. However, some events to stimulate this and other similar cases might make the mod better. Maybe Germany develops into more of and asshole and tries some kind of partitioning plan? After all, I was trying to create a lasting peace with myself on top, and my defeated foes not that bitter. It might also be a good idea to add a "demand our core territories" option to the event after the civil war, where the CSA has to decide whether to go to war with the PSA or not. Right now it's just total conquest vs doing nothing, no matter where the borders and cores go.

While Lumumba is definitely way too young, neither Tshombe nor Kalonji could be simple replacements, seeing as Tshombe held very different political positions and Kalonji was much more moderate. Plus, I can't figure out from Wikipedia whether Kalonji was born in 1919 or 1929, which would make him even more inappropriate.

If either of those suggestions were used, we'd have to either change the government type that results, or just say screw it and say they just have different politics, which wouldn't be a first.

Speaking of politicians having different politics, why is it that John Curtin (Australian politician) is a Nazi in this game? Dude was affiliated with Marxists growing up (writing for socialist newspapers under the moniker "Jack Curtain"), was the secretary of a trade union before and during the Weltkrieg, and went on to become Prime Minister with the social democrat Labor Party. I could understand him going Totalist/Syndicalist/Radical Socialist, but not a massive swing to the right.

(In fact, a Syndicalist/Radical Socialist Australasia under Curtain would be pretty awesome to see, imo)

You do have a point.

Are the Kimbanguists represented in the game? I could see perhaps Kasa-Vubu and Kimbangu working together, and IIRC they came from the same tribal backgrounds.

Benito Mussolini and Oswald Mosley were socialists who turned facist (in real life, not in Kaiserreich) so in such an alternative history I don't see why Curtin couldn't have done the same thing.

I just noticed that the minister pic for Mikhail A. Meandrov (Russian Head of Intelligence) is quite clearly Georgy Malenkov. I don't know if this was deliberate (pictures of Meandrov probably are pretty hard to find) but it's pretty jarring, and odd. Especially considering Malenkov would be (and perhaps already is, but I've never seen him) a perfectly acceptable minister for Soviet Russia or SR/Menshevik/Bolshevik Russia.

I've found the ship names for the Qing Empire. They are from the Imperial Chinese Navy. I think it may be useful.

Yes, It is His Imperial Chinese Majesty's Ship

But I don't know what wrong with the colour

Imperial Chinese Navy wouldn't be easier? :p

I thought that the Imperial Chinese Navy didn't have a HMS-equivalent prefix for their ships, and that they were just called by their name, like the Yangwei or the Chaoyong. Much like how the modern French navy just calls their light carrier the Mistral. Though, given this is an alternate history, a shift in naming schemes wouldn't be completely out of the question (given China's position, I could understand them adopting the German tradition of a "Majesty's Ship" prefix).

On another note, why doesn't the Austro-Hungarian/Danubian navy have the SMS prefix in their ship names?

If it would, then K.u.K., not any other way. It's pure Austria-Hungarian.

I had also found the ship names for Austria/Austro-Hungarian/Danubian navy:rolleyes:

Hi! I want install the Kaiserreich v. 1.2 (the new version) but I don't know the correct order of install. Can you help me?
And is compatible with 'vanilla v. 1.3 beta 2'?.
Thanks in advance ;)

Yes, it is.

I'd recommend using the JGSME to manage the mod. All you need to do is install it as a folder in your "MODS" folder, and activate it through JGSME. Nothing more than that.
