I attacked Afghanistan and took it over quickly with paras, and after they surrendered i puppeted them and they apparently reneged on the deal.

Afghanistan has honored their military alliance with Poland! lol!

Then there is this one where after playing a long game as Germany, i checked on the usa to see what they have built after my spies informed me that they had 770 base ic!!! They had 2500 total brigades mostly in dc.

And this one is the sheer genius of the ai's naval ability...

I retreated to make the screenshot that much funnier

Don't worry, they will put all their IC into building new ones!

Wow at the Naval Battle, I don't think I can see a single escort? As Tom said, they will make sure to replace them all and then some. They will send twice as many next time to brake you

How USA still has supplies with all those troops I don't know :P

The Americans sent their troops to DC, so they could get to the MOON, by standing on each others shoulders. They already have 4,836,000 men in the tower, it should only take another 210,194,160 men.

I loaded one of my Germany games as USA and saw that the US mostly builds factories. I found a big patch of provinces on the west coast where the AI had built over 200 factories (and more in the pipeline).

It looked like the AI wanted to cover North America in factories.

It's just silly how the AI focus on building one thing and one thing only...

I think usa probably builds factories when they arent at war, in my game i influenced them enough to keep them out of the allies and they are pretty much isolationist.

To some of you, why complain that the game is bad because things don't happen historically every time? If you want it to follow history play a game that starts later...and if you want it to follow history exactly why not rent a DVD about wwII? These screen shots show why the game is great...because when you do crazy things the AI will come back with something to counter your stunt. Would you really rather have the game completely predictable so you knew everything that was going to happen before it happened? Doesn't sound fun to me at all.

I only wish I'd think to screen cap my game while playing....lots of wild things happen Most of eastern europe formed an alliance, and I wasn't paying attention when it happened. Went to war with Poland, which brought the likes of Hungry and Yugo into the war with me. Belgium was allied with France and the Netherlands, so I couldn't really attack through Belgium because they had a massive buildup on their border...and i didn't have troops to spare to hold back the Netherlands. Had to attack France by sea or Italy. As Italy would get the territories if I went in through them, I attacked by sea. Took England and all of Europe except Spain and Italy which are in the Axis. Canada is fighting hard to take Greenland and Iceland from me. Italy and Japan are carving up all the European colonies of Asia and the Pacific....so far it's been a very good game...for the Axis!

Also, to those getting amphib assults from minors...put a division of garrison brigades or something on your ports! The AI loves taking ports...and you can prevent them from actually doing so if you guard them. I even like to add 3 or 4 costal forts on all my ports just to keep Canada off European soil!

This is the funniest thing I've read in a long time, nobody wants a total replay of WW2, just the ability to have something that COULD have occured and not impossible nonsense. Enjoy your fantasy game where UK transports rule the waves . Are there no real wargamers left?

Having problems taking screen shots, but...

Playing as hands off as Switzerland.

Japan in Axis gets its butt whooped in Asia, Manchukuo falls quickly. Doesn't take me long to figure why.....

6 Divisions from Manchukuo are on the Swiss border with Germany, protecting the hun from we very belligerent Swiss!

Playing as Germany from 36, i spent 4 years supporting NSDAP in the USA. on january 40 after election i load my game as the US just to see the result. No surprise, NSDAP was strong, and it even won the election, but something caught my eyes.

Henry Ford was part of this fascist governement !

I remember hearing in some documentary on TV that Henry Ford was not a white knight, that he shared some ideas with the far-right wing of politics and things, but that ! i was just smashed. If PI did this on purpose (adapting ministers with the ruling party in each country) i can only say congratulations, this sense of details is purely epic. If you can get Henry Ford as republican or democrat, well, forget what i just said

Henry Ford while not one of the most ardent fascists or racists, would probably still have had no qualms with a cabinet position in a fascist state. Quite believable.

There was some contraversy around Henry Ford during that time http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_F...rld_War_II_era
But that is nothing. I remeber some time ago on HoI2 forum was thread started by someone who claimed that Kenneth Althaus was his grand-father, I believe, and wasn't very much pleased how he is treated here.

EDIT: More interesting is that Forrest is there instead of Lingbergh
