Looking forward to reading about the mess! Is two bankruptcies in ten years even possible? I suppose so, but that kind of mess takes careful advance planning.

    Looking forward to this AAR.
    Past and current AARs:
The New Jerusalem A character-driven tale of Moscow's struggles to restore the Kingdom of Rus.

Bearly Surviving A Crusader Kings comedy with lots of pictures!

The Coat on the Floor Belongs to Mother Muscowy Vodka + EU2 + hours of posting = this AAR! Part II Part III Part IV: Victoria!

I managed three in ten years the other day as Dai Viet without planning, and I've been able to get one a month as Byzantium with planning.

    January, 1419

    January 1 1419
The dust rises in the air, as the sunsets. It is a beautiful sight, except for one thing; the riders aren’t here for talk. They are here to proclaim the existence of one of the most glorious and great empire of its time. He is called Shah Rukh, leader of the Timurid Empire, which spans Persia, Baluchistan, and Afghanistan. Iraq is the vassal of the Timurids, after a long and disappointing war against the Timurid Empire. Now a new reign has begun, a reign in which Shah Ruhk will try to emulate the greatness of his father, Tamerlame. The quest has begun; it can only end in two ways, Death or Greatness.

As Shah Ruhk walks in his castle, he looks up the sky for some sort of sign, some sign to help him the right direction, a sign that will tell him that he is destined to greatness. Unfortunately, the sky is clear, and free of any clouds. A blank slate to write on, a blank piece of paper where he shall make this own decisions, and his mistakes. He shudders at the very thought of it. He was a good commander of his men, under his father’s kingdom he obeyed every order there was to be given, now that he has passed, could he make it? How can he command anything without any order? Who will help him in the time of need?

Even thought he had surrounded himself of learned men, advisers of many different knowledge’s and many different topics, it was up to him to make a decision, and it was that, tat made him shudder. He walked passed a garden, where his wife and child were, happily playing unaware what would go on. Would he be able to defend them? Would he be able to ensure their happiness? He walked past them and into the throne room where he knew what would go on.

“Ah, I am glad you could make it on his meeting of the Divan, Sire. We all have different topics to talk to you about some more important than others, but still each one has to be answered. Come, Sire, sit. We shall begin.”

Ahmed Rerhan, a Persian scholar and his vizier, was a loyal and devoted man to the Timurid Empire. His wife and 3 sons where brought over from The Uzbek Khanate where they were fleeing from begin prosecuted. Shah Ruhk had personally saved his father; mother, his elder brother and himself form Uzbek soldiers, who he cut down. They owed their life to him, and in return pledged loyalty to him. Ahmad's father was a cook, and served him well, until his death in 1416. His mother was a noble woman, married to a cook because of love. This was not their cause for being persecuted, rather his mother’s father, and Ahmed’s grandfather rebels when he learned that the Uzbek Khanate was going to war against the Timurids. He had a quite a stake in the markets of Ishfahan and would lose it all if they went to war. In respond, they killed him and when after the couple. His elder bother lost his life when he when over to border to The Uzbek Khanate, trying to revive his grandfather’s riches. When this news broke him mother die shortly after a few months, his father and sometimes Shah Ruhk raised Ahmed.

“Well, Ahmed my friend, here is what I have thought about, since it is January 3, I say we give plenty to time to inform Mir Shah, the supposed Baluchistan shah, his kingdom is to be given back.”

There was a sharp intake of breath followed by a mass of talk by to ministers to themselves. The regent of Baluchistan was shocked, as he couldn’t believe his ears.

“Why this is an outrage! Why would you give them freedom? After all your Father annex them, and they rightfully belong to us.”

“I Agree, I say no to this movement!”

Ahmed looked worried as if this was the treatment of Shah Rukh’s policies then there would be a great worry about the kingdom.

“Silence. This is my court, and I command you to be silent.”

The court when quiet. All had stern looks except the regent from Baluchistan who looked like he was in heaven.

“Baluchistan is to be given freedom because we my friends have a problem with the Shiite community in this kingdom. Since we are Sunni, we will have a problem. This move will show that we see them a equal to us. As a added help to them, we shall remove the taxes and only tax them as Sunni’s now.”

This time the uproar was greater. Shiite ministers roared in approval, while Sunni ministers condemned the action and kept shouting that they [the Shiite ministers] had witchcrafted their Shah and he wasn’t thinking right. Ahmed tried claming them down, but it was apparent that they wouldn’t, so the royal guard was brought out because fights had started between the ministers.

Ahmed looked on with worry as the whole sence had erupted in chaos. Shah Ruhk looked worried for a moment, but had suddenly gained some strength and with a loud voice bid everyone to silence.

“Have the Sunni Ministers escorted a separate room. Do the same with the Shiite’s. I want 5 members of each in half an hour come and report to this room, in a clam and digified manner why each apposes it or accepts it. Only the Baluchistan regent and My Head Minister is to stay here. Take the rest away now!”

With that the ministers were taken away, and only 3 people were left in the room, with 2 guards behind Shah Ruhk. He calmly turned his back and sat down again, because he stood up when he shouted his command. This was tougher than he thought it would be. Could this be what his father to deal with or was he of greater strength that he could command them? Worry filled Shah Rukh’s mind again. This would be hard, very very hard.
